SAMBA PROBLEMS ON A DATA GENERAL
Ok, I'm not too sure if this is the right list or not. I have had no problems compiling Samba on any of our machines, except our 2 DGUX (Data General Unix) systems. Once I start the make file, is when I get a bunch of "Error code 2 (ignored)". I think its the compiler, but not sure. I'm running MU05 on the DG, hopefully one of you has had this same problem before. DG's sight

[PATCH] Drop SETGROUPS_NOOP
Hi, the SETGROUPS_NOOP define is used only for Cygwin. But it's also combined with the HAVE_SETGROUPS test in bsd-misc.c. So, since setgroups() exists and is functional in Cygwin, this is actually a noop in the more general sense. The below patch drops that entirely. Network is busy...
I have done a great deal of reading regarding the network is busy error, but haven't come up with an answer for one particular problem. Here is the situation. Two identical DGUX machines are sitting on a network. Both machines are running Samba 1.9.10 with no problems other than performance. Upon several recommendations about improving performance, they decided to upgrade to 2.0.3.

create directories
if i do an rsync to the current directory, how come the parent directory isn't created? I normally just get my files spewed into the current directory, eventhough I am trying to transfer a directory. Something like this rsync -avp host::module/ . -- Jason G Helfman Network Administrator

added background noise problem?
The background noise is unacceptable. I'll have to stick with 32kbps mp3s eventhough the files are 70% larger.

Should I maybe rm /etc/localtime ln -s

mount fallback 0 || no streams found
hello, I'm doing something wrong here, but I can't find what I need to do right. If I set the mount fallback to "0", no stream is found eventhough there maybe one or even two sources in icecast. What do I need to set/add so I don't need the mount fallback? Using: ices-0.2.2 icecast 1.3.11 on 2.4.9 thanks, t. --- >8 ---- List archives:

Inclusive language in LLVM: can we rename `master` branch?
To be clear: I’m concerned about the amount of our infrastructure (as well as downstream infrastructure, this would be actually pretty painful for both of my downstreams) that the community would have break/need fixing as a part of that. So I want this to happen ONCE. I think it is well motivated now, but switching from ‘default’ to ‘main’ when that becomes the ‘standard’ one seems way less

Inclusive language in LLVM: can we rename `master` branch?
I mean, we could change it twice? There are about a hundred scripts out there for doing it. -eric On Fri, Jun 19, 2020 at 11:40 AM Keane, Erich <erich.keane at intel.com> wrote: > Do we have any ability to reach out to github (at least?) to see what they > are going to do? Repeating grey scale in graph?
Dear R users, Could somebody tell me why the grey color ramp is repeated in this graph, eventhough the ramp values go from 0 to 1? I must be missing something obvious, but I can not see it! z <- c(0.064329041,0.117243316,0.161565116,0.19923015,0.231642175,0.259835539,0.284571226, 0.038507288,0.094184749,0.140959431,0.180803984,0.215159105,0.245096084,0.271412845,

Problems of groups accessing shared directory
Hello, I have problems with people having different groups who access a shared directory via samba. The requirements are: 1. There are people with group "group1" and group "group2" in /etc/passwd 2. 3 people from group "group1" and 2 people from group "group2" are allowed to access a shared directory and have read/write access to that directory. Our

I disagree with your timing concerns. Changing is still straightforward and I'd like to see this done within 1-2 weeks. Thanks. -eric On Fri, Jun 19, 2020 at 12:22 PM Chris Tetreault <ctetreau at quicinc.com> wrote: > +1 to waiting until git and/or github decide on a new name for the default > branch. Inclusive language in LLVM: can we rename `master` branch?
As I mentioned on another thread, we also use the term "slave" for the BuildBot builders. In the past, I was told this was due to being stuck on an old version of BuildBot. Fortunately, there is already work in progress to update BuildBot to a newer version. Since that's also going affect all the build machines, perhaps changing the name of the main branch should happen

That's a good point, we should definitely be respectful of the build bot owners time, that said I think it's the coordination that takes the time rather than the change :) On Fri, Jun 19, 2020 at 11:48 AM Keane, Erich via llvm-dev < llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> wrote: > My understanding is the biggest concern about the name change is the > ‘cost’ associated with needing to

There's really no guarantee that things will shake out the same in near term between the projects. -eric On Fri, Jun 19, 2020 at 11:31 AM Keane, Erich <erich.keane at intel.com> wrote: > I’m a bit mixed on this.
