What is Judy?
I am trying to build Miredo 1.1.5 (http://www.remlab.net/miredo/devel.shtml.en) I have followed the rpmbuild instructions from: http://www.owlriver.com/tips/non-root/, and have the miredo source in ~/build/miredo-1.1.5. I run ./configure (as the INSTALL text file tells me to do) and get the error: checking for Judy.h usablity... no checking for Judy.h presence... no checking for Judy.h...

analyze subsample of dataframe
Hi there, I'm dealing with a pretty big dataset (~22,000 entries) with numerous entries for every day over a period of several years. I have a column "judy" (for Julian Day) with 0 beginning on Jan. 1st of every new year (I want to compare tendencies between years). However, in order to control for a leap year (2004), I simply need to subtract 1 from every judy value for the year

ext3 .journal location?
Forgive my novice question, but I am a new student of Linux working on presenting the ext3 journaling filesystem to my class. I seek any advice on how to visibly demonstrate (including a purposeful crash of a Linux box) the benefits of ext3 over ext2. I am not worthy to lick the bootstraps of this group, but I beg for any help! The problem I am having extends to even locating the .journal file

xmlToDataFrame#Help!!!#follow-up
Dieter Menne pointed out that the (small) xml attachment didn't make it. Here is an in-line version (see end of message). Let's hope it works this time. I'm struggling with interpreting XML files created by ADODB as data.frames and I'm looking for advice. Note: This xlm contains a result set which comes from a rectangular data array. SAS and RODBC
I am using R-2.10.1 binary from CRAN on a WinXP Pro system. I also use SAS v9.2 on the same box. I just started using the SAS ODBC driver that comes with version 9 of SAS. I have been able to set up an ODBC source for SAS datasets using the driver, and then with RODBC I am able to read a sample SAS dataset. > library(RODBC) > ch <- odbcConnect('sasodbc', believeNRows=FALSE)

Allow ALL internal traffic
Hi all, its a real nightmare for me. Although i have read and searched the web for two weeks i can`t get shorewall to work. problem is that we have only one server that acts as fileserver (samba, nis, nfs) and router/firewall for the lan. the server has two interfaces eth0 = lan and eth1 = internet. The only what we need is full access from the lan to the firewall and restricted access

Can't HANGUP call or channel on 1.4.9
I've isolated this problem the furthest that I can, and I'm now convinced this is a bug in asterisk. I have a context in extensions.conf like so: [my_context] exten => _X.,1,AGI(my_agi|${EXTEN}|${CHANNEL}) exten => _X.,2,GOTO(my_other_context|${EXTEN}|1) exten => h,1,DeadAGI(my_agi_cleanup) For the purposes of this scenario, my_agi simply will try to HANGUP the channel to

SWAT
I was playing with this on my test machine, (redhat 5.2, samba 2.0.3) worked great, and I was really impressed. So I decided to install this on my office machine. (redhat 4.2, samba 2.0.3) and the only significant difference is that on the office machine, I use encrypted passwords. I cannot get swat to authenticate on the second machine. That is, no matter what account, password combination
