Multiple parking lots use default park positions
Hello, all. I'm having a deeply frustrating time getting multiple parking lots to work and am wondering what I am doing wrong. I am using Asterisk 1.6.1.1. I defined two separate parking lots in features.conf as follows: [parkinglot_a100] ; SSI context => a100-parking parkpos => 900-920 findslot => next [parkinglot_a10] ; EBC context => a10-parking parkpos => 800-820

5.7 x86_64 DVD iso
I am trying to find a DVD iso that is not a torrent, and looking through the mirrors I am unable to find one. Does anyone happen to have a mirror or repository that they know of that carries the DVD iso for direct download? I am behind a pretty strict firewall and am unable to do torrents. Thanks in advance Michael Weiner =================================== Please consider the environment

Callpickup works for outside calls but not inside calls
Hello, all. I've got a problem where we set up call pickup for a customer. If the Bob's extension rings and Bob is in Jim's office, Bob can press the button on his Snom 320 that says "Bob" and pick up his line. It works great for calls coming in from the outside but does not work for internal calls. Internal calls generate a app_directed_pickup.c:204 pickup_exec: No

Adjusting p values of a matrix
Dear all, I have an n x n matrix of p-values. The matrix is symmetrical, as it describes the "each against each" p values of correlation coefficients. How can I best correct the p values of the matrix? Notably, the total number of the tests performed is n(n-1)/2, since I do not test the correlation of each variable with itself. That means, I only want to correct one half of the matrix,

read.table() and scientific notation
Dear all, I am having troubles importing values written as scientific notation using read.table(). I'm sure this is a frequent problem, as many people in my lab have this problem as well, so I'm sure that I just have troubles googling for the right solution. The problem is, that, given a file like that: a 1 2e-4 b 2 3e-8 ... the third column gets imported as a factor, or a string if I

Creating a vignette which depends on a non-distributable file
Dear all, I am writing a vignette that requires a file which I am not allowed to distribute, but which the user can easily download manually. Moreover, it is not possible to download this file automatically from R: downloading requires a (free) registration that seems to work only through a browser. (I'm talking here about the MSigDB from the Broad Institute,

Changing style for the Sweave vignettes
As a user, I am always annoyed beyond measure that Sweave vignettes precede the code by a command line prompt. It makes running examples by simple copying of the commands from the vignette to the console a pain. I know the idea is that it is clear what is the command, and what is the output, but I'd rather precede the output with some kind of marking. Is there any other solution possible /

Hello & a simple question
Hello, I'm new to R, but it seems to work nicely for me from the start. Being a molecular biologist, I do not have a profound knowledge of statistical reasoning. I have two questions: 1) is there an other manual for R available apart from the `R-intro' document, especially one with more in-deep description of calculating basic statistics with R? ...and a more specific one: 2) Suppose

Looking for a sort of tapply() to data frames
Hi, I read about the by() function, but it does not seem to do the job I need. Here is the problem: Say - I have a data frame, with three columns. The first one contains strings that describe the data points, with repeats (for example, days of a week). The other two contain numbers. Something like that: Day val1 val2 Tue 1 2 Tue 2 8 Tue 3 5 Wed 1 2 Wed 1 8 etc. Now I would

Building R package: “Found 'rand', possibly from 'rand' (C)” NOTE when checking package
I am building a package that makes a simple visualization. A part of the code is in C++, and utilizes the functions srand() and rand() for purposes not related to statistics (introducing random noise in the visualization). The package compiles without problems on my workstation(s), but when I submitted it to the winbuilder service, I got the following weird message: * checking compiled code ...

Syntax coloring in R console
Dear all, I am a happy user of R console, but I would like to see syntax coloring. I use R 2.12 in Ubuntu Linux. I have found the packages "xterm256" and "highlight", but I was not able to figure out how to use it to highlight the syntax in console output. Also, I tried several GUI interfaces, but I was not able to find something that suits me better than the default R

[3.3 beta3] When should the self-heal daemon be triggered?
Hi, I eventually installed three Debian unstable machines, so I could install the GlusterFS 3.3 beta3. I have a question about the self-heal daemon. I'm trying to get a volume which is replicated, with two bricks. I started up the volume, wrote some data, then killed one machine, and then wrote more data to a few folders from the client machine. Then I restarted the second brick server.

sambaLogonHours and timezones
Hi guys/girls, How are you keeping ? A while ago I mentioned a problem that I'm picking up with Samba with OpenLDAP and the "logon hours" restrictions which are implemented via the NT 4.0 User Manager. Basically my problem was that users were unable to login 2 hours before the actual restriction should kick in. At the time I thought that perhaps the problem was caused by
