m$ briefcase / access question
Hi all, I've just realised Samba doesn't appear to support M$ Briefcases, which is a bit of a shame as I've just designed an Access Database system that needs to replicate between Servers on five sites, and we've just converted the client's NT Servers to Linux Samba Servers.... (now, finally, things work properly!!) So, presuming there is a God up there somewhere.... can

rw issue with smbmount
Hi all, I've got a strange issue with a smb mount I've performed.... I have four Servers, all running the Samba version of Samba, all built from the same script files! So they are pretty much the same! :) I've written a script to mount a drive on each in turn and copy some files to them. The file is copied from the first two machines okay, but on the third, I get a rw error! The

How to read or write Geolocation (RFC6442) data in SIP/PJSIP messages ?
Hello, I'm having a look at section 13.1 from SIP Connect v2 doc (see [1]). It refers to RFC6442 which gives the following example (sorry for its length): INVITE sips:bob at biloxi.example.com SIP/2.0 Via: SIPS/2.0/TLS pc33.atlanta.example.com;branch=z9hG4bK74bf9 Max-Forwards: 70 To: Bob <sips:bob at biloxi.example.com> From: Alice <sips:alice at

matrix indexing (igraph ?)
I realize that matrix indexing has been addressed in various flavors, but I''m stumped and didn''t find anything in the archives. It''s not clear if it is an igraph issue or a more general problem. Thanks in advance for your patience. I am using igraph to read a gml file (http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mejn/netdata/football.zip ). The gml file contains vertex attributes

Zyxel P2000W or WiSIP with asterisk?
Hi, I'm trying to get a Zyxel P2000W (reportedly also sold as WiSIP by Pulver) to work with an asterisk box. The phone connects nicely to an external VoIP company (sipgate.de reportedly using asterisk themselves) but there is a strange problem with my asterisk: - Incoming calls via ISDN (chan_capi) to the Zyxel work perfectly. - Outgoing calls (capi/sip/iax) via asterisk are dialling out

winbindd stays at 100% CPU having joined a domain
[ Please would anyone replying to this maintain the Cc list here as my dear colleague is not subscribed to this mailing list. ] Hello all, I am trying to track down an oddity with winbindd. We're using samba only to join a given domain -- so the config file is very minimal, as per: [global] workgroup = TEDDYBEARS netbios name = SMOOTHWALL realm = TEDDYBEARS.LOCAL security = ads

ZyXEL Prestige 200w - should I return it ?
Hi all I have just got a P2000w and experience several problems. Hopefully there is someone out there that has got it working. I saw it on Cebit and the person demonstrating it there told me that it was connected to an Asterisk server on the stand -so it should work. Problem 1: it does not register correctly It get lots of messages like this: Jun 26 19:45:19 NOTICE[1107585968]: chan_sip.c:5630

choppy and cracking sound from zyxel prestige 2002
Hi, Does anyone have suggestions hooking Zyxel Prestige 2002 to Asterisk? I have tested Zyxel Prestige with both supported codecs. Call with G.711 sounds very choppy and cracking. Almost can't understand a word. Today I installed G.729 support into Asterisk but unbearable voice quality remains. It's a little bit better though. I have tested that Zyxel ATA with some commercial SIP

ZyXEL P2000W - working conf example
(I posted this note on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-ZyXEL+P2000W+configuration too) I tried to put together comments that were asked for on the P2000W. These configs seem to work fine for a ZyXEL P2000W, thanks to Giles Scott for getting me started with it. DTMF keys work fine and are "read" correctly by Asterisk. It's important that you upgrade your phone to a modern version

NTLM protocol/multiple DCs
I'm trying to modify the typical Squid/ntlm_auth/winbindd arrangement to support authenticating to multiple independent domains. I have a prototype solution but would like to know if it would work in the general case. (I used http://davenport.sourceforge.net/ntlm.html as a reference for the NTLM protocol.) In the prototype I have multiple instances of winbindd and ntlm_auth with a

rsync HELP!!!
Sonu: I'm giving the whole history to the rsync list. If the tests i subscribed passed, yet you get that error, it's more in depth than i can go into. You've got 1 hour, let's hope somebody immediately recognizes the problem. I've got some ideas, but no time to explore any more for you. Gentlemen: does anybody see a quick resolution for Sonu? NEWS: SIP Firmware Available for Cisco 7970
I've just recieved a copy of the new SIP firmware for the Cisco 7970, those of you with Cisco accounts may wish to try it (shock horror I'm sticking with SCCP). This coincides with the release of v8 firmware for all Cisco phones (and for those of you running Sergio's chan_sccp v8 works fine) The firmware is now also (and for the 7970 SIP, only) distributed in ".cop" files,
