RE: The account is not authorized to log in from this station
No, i can't. I have also tried pcguest, guest, admin, and windows 2000 accounts. Question for you: If i want to connect to a windows 2000 shared folder from my Linux box, what command do I type to attach or mount it? Is it simply "mount -o smbfs username=win2k_username,password=password //windows_server_name/shared_folder /shared_folder" -----Original Message----- From: Rhodes,

Win2000 Domain Controller Interferes with Samba Connection
I've set up Samba on my recent FreeBSD 4.8 install, and I'm having problems connecting with my XP machines. I have done all relevant testing up to this point as described in the documentation, and I can mount the shares on the BSD box from my OS X mac (also a samba implementation), and from the XP boxes when I am logged in locally and not into the domain. However, when I log into the

Hi there, I'm trying to fit GEE models on binomial data. My problem is how to "select" a model if ever it is possible and how I decide a factor has to be drop out or not. More specifically: 1) Are QIC (Pan 2001) reliable and can be used in a model selection framework (Burhnam and Anderson 1998)? If yes, how can the QIC be estimated from available information in a gee object? 2) If

2.13 version doesn't load packages
Hi, I just installed the 2.13 version for Mac (without uninstalling the previous versions). I transferred the folder library containing the packages I normally use to the 2.13 library folder. When I require any package this is what I get: require(ape) Loading required package: ape Error in dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...) : unable to load shared object

Can nonlinear models be used in gee?
Hi all, 1. Can nonlinear models be used in gee? For example, I have a dataset which contains 2 variables x and y, I wrote data(ex) atttach(ex) a<-100 b<- -0.5 c<-4.5 d<-20 Then: a. y~gee(y~d+(a-d)/(1+(x/c)^b)) Error in terms.formula(formula, data = data) : invalid power in formula b. y~gee(y~d+(a-d)/(1+(x/c)) Error in model.frame(formula, rownames, variables, varnames, extras,

setup problems
Hi folks -- I'm trying to share out my home directory and one other directory from an SGI O2 running IRIX 6.3 to an HP Vectra running Win NT 4.0. I'm having some problems and would appreciate a hand. I've read the man pages, DIAGNOSIS.txt, the FAQ, and most of the other documents in the distribution. My problem is probably a simple configuration issue, but I haven't been able

Dear Lister I need to perform Generalized estimating equations on some data. Has 'R' any function or routine to do it? (GEE is same as GLM but with correlated y's) Thanks in advance Mostafa _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963

GEEPACK vs GEE: What are the differences in the estimators calculated by geeglm() (GEEPACK) and gee() (GEE)?
Hello, I am interested in running generalized estimating equation models in R. Currently there are two main packages for doing so in R, geepack and gee. I understand that even though one can obtain similar to almost identical results using either of the two, that there are differences between the packages. The paper that introduces the geepack package (

Client connection problem
I've been banging my head on this for two days now ! Everything checks out cool on the server, however I can't get the client to connect. I've gone through a number of troubleshooting docs and all lead me to suspect the hosts allow entry, however, even if I allow everyone on the network, I still get the below error msgs. Server: scooby - FreeBSD 4.5 running Samba 2.2.2 Client :
