Swen virus and spam appears to be coming from Samba list
Shortly after I subscribed to this Samba list I started receiving numerous emails infected with the Swen/Gibe worm. Many of these emails contained the email addresses of Samba list members. I believe a subscriber of the Samba list has the Swen virus. Has anyone else on this list been getting emails infected with the Swen/Gibe worm? Please update your virus definitions and do a virus scan just to

Just a thought, all this "swen" stuff, this list
It seems anyone posting to this list gets a deluge (and I mean a
deluge) of virus infected windows garbage. It's basically enough to
ruin any email address you sign up to the list with; it doesn't matter
if you have a virus scanner integrated with your MTA, I really don't
want to see 200 virus notifications a day because i posted to this
list. I have been getting about 20MB of swen a

Setting scales for ggplot2 with facets
Faceting in ggplot2 seems to permit different scales for different
facets, but I fail
to see how one could control ylim and xlim ranges for each facet
separately.
For instance, I would like to set the ylim = c(0,10) for facet "A"
and ylim = c(42,102) for facet "B". Since the data is out of these
ranges,
setting facet_grid(factor ~ ., scales = "free_y") does not

Several people on this mailing list have the W32/Swen@MM virus
Ever since I signed up for this mailing list and sent my first question, I have been bombarded with the W32/Swen@MM and the emails aren't all from the same person. Is anyone else experiencing this?

cisco 7912 voicemail/dnd issue
Hi all,
I playing around with some C7912 IP phones (SIP FW).
They work nice with asterisk, but I found the following issue:
o When I configure the voicemail number (8500) to access VM
I can push the "messages" button on the phone to access my VM
o The phone can setup DND and call redirection on NA and BUSY
o MWI is also working fine ;-)
But in this case the call will be

SOLARIS_2.6: request_oplock_break
I saw a little discussion about this a few weeks ago but nothing concrete.
We're running samba-1.9.18p8 under Solaris 2.6x86. I am periodically
getting the following in the logfiles, usually _many_ at a time:
1998/11/03 14:42:00 request_oplock_break: no response received to oplock
break request to pid 5411 on port 40884 for dev = 1980040, inode = 33c4d
When I look up the PID (in this case

How to disable audio in CentOS7?
How can I completely disable audio drivers and services in my CentOS7
system?
This system is a server that will never run any audio applications. The
problem is, I can't disable the audio device in my BIOS, so the system
finds it in the PCI device list and configures it on each boot.
Yes, I know I can blacklist specific device driver modules, but I've got

Globalize strategy for content ?
Hello,
what are your strategy for using Globalize to translate sites with lot
of full text ? I mean where do you translate your String ?
I saw on the swen''s wiki
(http://www.artweb-design.de/articles/2006/06/13/real-fun-get-on-rails-with-globalize-take-2),
that you can use the locale:set_translation method:

MS Outlook
If you are using Microsoft Outlook and you are reading this message you
need to make 500% sure you are not propagating virii. I posted our
support (at) nufone d0t net addy on this mailing list last night and
have never posted it in an unprotected fashion like that anywhere else.
So far today we have received over a hundred email virii to that address.
I suggest you upgrade to a more secure

subscribe exec to a dir fails
Hi,
I am trying to convince aptitude update to run only when a file
changes in /etc/apt/sources.list.d:
exec {

"aptitude-update":
command => "/usr/bin/aptitude update",
subscribe => "$basedir/sources.list.d",
refreshonly => true;
}

What is the full story with roaming profiles?
I have a stable configuration of a Samba 2.0.5a server on Redhat 6.0 and Win
95 and Win98 clients that has been running for over a year. Samba provides
several file shares which are mapped to specific drives by user logon
scripts. Being pedantic among other things I map a shared group share to G:
and a user home share H:. When I attempt to implement roaming profiles as

truncating html text
I''ve got a fairly basic problem here that I''m hoping there is an easy
solution for.
I have a chunk of html code that I want to truncate to a given length...
say 20 characters or so.
If I use the ''truncate'' helper function I end up with unbalanced tags.
For example.
<a href=www.someplace.com>A really long string of words</a>

SAR
Folks,
At what point in iowait should I start to worry about having a
bottleneck, or is this something that can't be answerd with a single
integer? According to sar, after my last reboot to turn off
hyperthreading as a test, at one time, I see 4.9% iowait, but then one
minute later, it droped back to 0.01%, and rarely even gets to 1.0%, at
least what I remember from yesterday. ?

newbie questions re flac on win32 eac and id3v2
Firstly, a big thank-you to Josh for FLAC. Someone mentioned it in a post on
Slashdot, so I came over to sourceforge for a look-see. This is just the
sort of thing I've been looking for.
Can anyone relate any general tips for using flac on Windows for the purpose
of archiving cd's? If I can nail down a solid, easy-to-use process, I'm
happy to write it up and contribute it to the

too much spam - filtering the mailinglist
Hi !
Today i deleted more then 60(!) spam-messages on this list
I think it would be a good idea, to limit the possible senders
of this list to the addresses which are subscribed.
Best regards

I can't get 3.0.1 to fully compile on my Solaris machines(2.6 and 2.8) Below
is an example the error I am getting. Note, that it errored out earlier with
the same problem, I typed make again and it went on to the next file, got
the same error about a file with extension .o.o not existing.
The actual error:

mv: cannot access lib/replace1.po.o.o
