pb with package mix
hello, We've got a problem with the mix package in order to impute the missing data. After importing the data, the prelim function does not work (only the stlouis data works). We have done : >library(mix) >Manq <- read.table("C:/.../file.txt") >attach(Manq) >save(Manq,file="C:/../R/rw2001/library/mix/data/Manq.rda") >data(Manq) >Manq V1 V2 V3 V4 1

Samba3+Win9x userlist, Bug?!
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear List, Few days ago I've posted, that my Win9x boxes are unable to get the list of domain users and groups from samba-3.0.0 server (for details see bug 596). Unfortunately the same is true for samba-3.0.1pre1. Please people also having win9x boxes and Samba3 PDC confirm that it is a bug, or a configuration error. Thanks for any suggestion.

sessionid.tdb not initialised?!
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, I am just curious, about the following: I've upgraded from 3.0.1pre3 to 3.0.1rc2 and found that running testparm gives me sessionid.tdb not initialised, and then outputs what is expected. Everything else seems to work as before. I'm using Mandrake 9.2, with SRPMS built by Buchan Milne rebuilt locally, but without changes from the

DomU 2TB vbd limit?
Hi everyone, Just a quick question: Is there a limit on the vbd size for pv guest domains, I''ve found only rumors on the Internet about a 2TB limit, but from my experience with xen-3.0.3 /linux-kernel-2.6.18-5 (installed from a debian etch packages) I can say that a lvm volume of 3.7TB as created and formated in Dom0 is seen as 1.85TB only of course reporting a corrupted xfs filesystem

replacement has *** rows, data has ***
Hi all, I created a predicted variable based on a model, but somehow not all observations have a predicted value. When I tired to add the predicated value to the main data set (data$pr <- pr) , it said: replacement has 34333 rows, data has 34347. Do you know how to solve that? Thanks, Manqing [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Samba3+Nexus+Srvtools at least strange
Hi all, Sorry for distubing you with this minor problem, but: I've configured samba3 for ldapsam and successfuly joined a WinNT Server 4.0 with on the fly account creation (I have root in LDAP). Now I'm able to manage my samba3 with user manager for domains from srvtools, but not nexus :-(. From my point of view the sadest thing is that on 9x no other application can retrive user

shorewall dynamic zones confusion
Hi, I''ve been successfully using shorewall in our K12 school since the 2.x days initially on Mandrake and now on Debian. Because of that my config has got quite complicated. The firewall has a working MultiISP setup with four interfaces (I''ve renamed them with udev to easy their identification): lan-if, dmz-if, snt-if and dnt-if (one of the providers (the one on dnt-if) is a DSL

When do I need idmap mappings?
Hi all, Sorry for this stupid question, but what are the newly introduced idmap mappings good for? 1. When I want to use security=domain, or security=ads and automaticaly create UNIX users on the fly through winbind, and avoid 2.2.x's winbind uid range problems (the same user mapped to a diferent UNIX users between sessions) 2. NT4 Domain trust ?????? 3. ????? So I'm about to play

PDC+BDC+Filereplication_How?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, Sorry for this general question, but I'd like to hear your opinion on this subject, but I'd like to set up a really working backup solution for my PDC, currently it uses NFS, so there are lots of issues: No ACLs, When NFS server goes down, everything fails. What method would you recommend for replicating folders, keeping existing ACLs

Fwd: Re: samba ldap?
Gemes, others, Ok, I went back and compiled without ldapsam_compat. I am now trying to simply use ldapsam. However, I get this error in the log.smbd when trying to connect with a client: [2004/12/23 12:59:18, 0] passdb/pdb_interface.c:make_pdb_methods_name(664) No builtin nor plugin backend for ldapsam found [2004/12/23 12:59:18, 1] passdb/pdb_interface.c:make_pdb_context_list(765)

msvcrt/io.h and winelib, wine-users digest, Vol 1 #596 - 3 msgs

If you need to >do so then it's a Wine bug (well, there are probably still a couple of >missing headers, let us know about it when you find one). All right, what about stdio.h and wctype.h, which stdio.h requires? Do we use the Linux stdio.h instead? _____________________________________________________________ Sign up
