Which Linux best suits Samba3?
In a discussion with one of the main answer people, of whose time I am greatly appreciative, it was suggested that some of my problem (or solution) may be to run Samba on a distro that's better suited for it. Problem is, I don't have the time nor the inclination to download a bunch of distros just to install, test, fdisk, repeat. So I ask. what is a recommended recent distro that works

PRI Test Lab
Hey Everyone, I would like to start testing/playing with PRI channels but I don't have access to a PRI line. Is it possible to do the equivilent of a crossover between two PRI Cards (say Digium's TE120P)? What I was thinking is that I could set one asterisk box up with a PRI card set as the TE and provide clocking and another box exactly the same but with the card setup as NT. I think

running a background task/thread in rails?
Hi, I am new to ruby and to rails, but I like what I see so far. I have been working on a web app in java (servlets and JSPs) that, based on a request from the user, kicks off a thread in the background to perform a task (puts messages in an MQSeries queue).
