Hi Samba team,
I'm one of the webmasters for oreilly.com, O'Reilly & Associates' Web site.
A customer sent us email stating that they got the following broken URL

Would you please update the URL? It should point people to

Book on Postfix/Dovecot or Postfix/Dovecot/Clam/Spam Assassin?
I'm looking for a book on Postfix/Dovecot or Postfix/Dovecot/Clam/Spam Assassin
The blog posts and the mini-HowTo's I am reading lack the detail to be
useful to me (due to my own ignorance).
Amazon does not list any books for sale. There are some hits when
searching for Dovecot, but I expect them to be one section with the
quality of a blog post or mini-HowTo. (I have two books on Red

Not sure if this has application for R but Microsoft's new Monad shell

blocking file locks
Hello all,
As a Samba programming newbie, I've run onto a question that doesn't have an
obvious answer in FAQ or googled literature. I need to lock large numbers of
files on the server, and have Samba open requests block until they are
released. I found references to "blocking locks" in references such as

machine account (NT Workstation type, not backup).
Then you will need to run smbpasswd -j <nt domainname> -r <your NT domain
controller netbios name>
You will still require a username in the /etc/passwd or nis database for all
of you NT users that you expect to access shares on the Unix box, but if
there only access will be via samba, you won't need to administer any
passwords

Link-dest thinks file is newly created, but it isn't
Hi:
I've been using rsync for a couple years now. Unfortunately, I've made some
changes on both ends, so it's unclear what could be the culprit. I make
extensive use of --link-dest to provide a cheap "Time Machine"-like backup
for a Windows machine.

What does --itemize-changes say about that file? Try using the stat
command on the various copies of it to see what is different about them.

I hope someone can help me understand why I see inconsistent name

MAC: Mac OS 9.1; DAVE version 2.5.2
WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSION (ServicePack 2)
