FW: QoS extension to Net-SNMP
Hi. I did send this to `jaazz@post.cz'', but I suspect the list is a more appropriate/useful place for it. It''s a question about Michal Charvat''s QoS extension to Net-SNMP. When I look at the MIB entries for the QoS handles, I get something like this - enterprises.qos.qosObjectTable.qosObject.qosHandle.0.0 = Gauge32: 0

rtnetlink documentation
Hello, I would like to ask, if somewhere exists documentation about rtnetlink interface? Something more than kernel documentation and manual pages (man rtnetlink and man netlink). I want create traffic classes, filters and so on (only cbq classes and some filters based on fwmark), like tc utility from Alexey does, but can''t find any relevant docs on net. -- Michal Charvat Prokon

Graphing tc output
Hi, My HTB shaping is working perfectly, and i have setup a bridge and hosts behind the bridge are now getting only the bandwidth they are supposed to get. Thanks to every one here for helping me out :) Now I am thinking of making a graph of traffic going through various classes. Is their any thing readily available for it, or is parsing the output if tc and passing it to rrdtool the

mixed interlaced content and ffmpeg2theora
dv file from minidv camera - interlaced. small dv created by imported jpeg images - not interlaced. seems that when I use ffmpeg2theora with deinterlace switch and reduce size, it works. But when the only reduction I am doing is to width (720x480 -> 640x480) the encoder ignores the naturally interlaced bit and uses the last de-interlaced frame. Since the small bit made from jpegs is a dv

question about network setting for domain1
Hi,all, I cannot get my network in domain1 work. Here is my configuration: in dom0: I have two network cards, the ip addrs are 141.213.10.110 and 192.168.0.4, respectively. 141.213.10.110 is an external IP and can access internet directly. The gateway should be 141.213.10.1. /etc/xen/vfp: the domain1 configuration file, I created domain1 using ''xm create vmid=1 -f

Memory oversubscription
Hi. First of all, thanks for Xen. It''s terrific! I''m interested in doing memory oversubscription and am wondering if Xen can do this (now or in the future). For example, on a machine with 100MB available physical memory, can I: 1. Create a domain with a 90MB allocation 2. Inflate a balloon in that domain and return say 40MB back to Xen I know there are mechanisms for doing

video streaming
Hi, We're planning to launch a video stream. We do not have anything yet (no camera, no computer, no software, only a Linux server that will do the broadcasting with icecast installed). Has anyone ever done such a thing? What hardware do you suggest? What software can be used (both for Linux and Windows on source side). Can Icecast be used for this video streaming purpose (on server side)?

Misc: handycam raw to ogg / DVD to ogg
Hi, I have two questions 1) How can I convert a raw miniDV file to ogg? I have made a continuation to the conference I organised two years ago on gravitational waves Astrophysics and Relativity and I have a lot of miniDVs to be converted to ogg. I think I have seen the information before but, after looking for some one hour, I have given up. And, by the way, do you know how to dowload the file

xapian-replicate errors
Hi, While trying to setup xapian replication (initially for backup purposes), I'm encountering some errors. Our "fresh" index starts replication, and ends up with an index size that matches the replication master (4.5GB), but then throws : "Getting update for fresh from fresh xapian-replicate: NetworkError: Unable to fully synchronise: Database changing too fast" I

expected bitrates ?
Fo HDTV sized 422 originals, what kind of bitrates can one expect theora to hit at reasonable quality? Or put another way, what compression ratios can one expect from uncompressed to theora given a target of no significant artifacts, and what kind of peak bitrates would the i/o system require to keep up with the decoder? -JimC --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg

RCurl and kerberos
Dear list, I would like to call a Kerberos-authenticated web-service from within R. Curl can do it: $ curl --negotiate -u : "http://my.web.service/" so I would expect that RCurl also has the capability, but I have not been able to find the correct options to set. listCurlOptions() does not return anything with negotiate, and searching the source of RCurl, the only thing I found was

Proxy ARP with a Coyote Point equalizer
Here is a puzzle. I have a network with several servers. It''s a mess. It''s a /24 and pieces and servers are all over the place inside this /24 block, on both sides of the firewall. For example, the router at 1.2.3.1 is outside the firewall and many of the servers at 1.2.3.nnn/24 are behind the firewall. (Obviously, 1.2.3.nnn is a fudged network.) eth0 points outward to

Help about a QoS configuration
Hi, I would like to make a QoS configuration on a linux based dsl router. It is for a server, so I want to shape outgoing traffic, incoming traffic should not be a problem as long as I have a quite assymetric connection. I would like to achieve the following goals: 1) To have one class (p2p) having all the available bandwith if there is no activity on other classes. 2) If another class (ftp

tc monitoring
I have managed to dynamically parse the output of commands: tc qdisc ls dev eth0 and tc -s class show dev eth0 Save statistics in an rrd database and display it via a php script. see http://143.233.4.215/graph.php and dload scripts from http://143.233.4.210/qos/ My next step in developing this monitoring software is to somehow manage to create a tree out of tc and then use it to greatly

cor() fails with big dataframe
Hello, I have a big dataframe with *NO* na's (9 columns, 293380 rows). # doing memory.limit(size = 1000000000) cor(x) #gives Error in cor(x) : missing observations in cov/cor In addition: Warning message: NAs introduced by coercion #I found the obvious workaround: COR <- matrix(rep(0, 81),9,9) for (i in 1:9) for (j in 1:9) {if (i>j) COR[i,j] <- cor (x[,i],x[,j])} #which works fine,

Message waiting
The message waiting options seem to be geared for a normal office environment where there is a one-to-one relationship between a user and a phone/mailbox. I want to have a mailbox that is shared amoung a number of people and want the message waiting light to turn on on multiple phones. I can direct the voice mail to the common mail box. I can direct the individual users to the common mail

SV: Queues and call waiting indication
Hi, This issue has been discussed probably a million times on every asterisk forum in the world and I have the same problem too. Another problem you would have with the agents is that when they make an outgoing call they are not regarded as "busy" by asterisk and it sends more calls to the agent if it has call waiting enabled. This behaviour is totally senseless since the whole purouse

X100P to hardware PBX
I have asterisk successfully dialing out using a X100P over a normal analogue PSTN line. But when I try to dial out over an analogue line that goes via a hardware PBX the call asterisk does not dial. Is there a configuration change I should make ? I am thinking of something like not wating for dial tone.
