Workstaion trust account
Hi everybody! I'm having a problem adding a W2K workstaion to the domain samba+ldap. I can add it by logging with the local administartor then add to domain, but I would like to do it without doing it manually on every workstation. Have hundrads of workstations, I tried to add them by using smbldap scripts and I get an entry for the workstation but it still don't work. Is it even possible

VOIP Deployment Concerns
Before I got into my question for the day I'd like to applaud all the helpful folks and time spent behind the asterisk project to get it where it is today. Great work and between this list, the doc list and the irc channel it's been a pleasure to deal with people willing to help others when and if they can. I will be moving in a few months and I'm concerned as to what kind of

Problems joining existing domain W2K SP4 and Samba 2.2.8a
Hi all, I seem to be having some weird problems while trying to add a workstation to an existing domain. Samba 2.2.8a is running on FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE-p17 and all the clients have Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 installed. This particular workstaion was part of the domain until its hard drive went under. The drive had to be replaced with a new one, the OS was installed and now when I try to

Hello all, I have my * server setup behind a Linksys WRT54G on Adelphia cable. I have forwarded 5060,10000-10020, and another port set can't remember off the top of my head but I can't seem to connect to the * server from any locations that are direct connects to the Internet. 1.9.17 printing across subnets
I cannot print across my subnets using microsoft win9networking. I have two subnets 192.168.0 & 192.168.1 of which the linux running samba server is the router using two ethernet cards . Workstations on both subnets share their printers from win95. Win95 machines from both sides of the subnet can telnet to both ethernet cards on the server and can also ping all machines across the two

Plea for help: Windows/Linux interoperability diffculties
Everyone, I'm at the last straw. For at least 5 to 6 months I have tried to get Samba 2.0.6 and Samba 2.0.7 to interoperate with Windows 98, with only partial success. Whenever a Windows machine does an SMB query of the master browser on my network, it takes an abysmally long time to respond. Whenever a Windows machine attempts to print, it becomes unstable and starts crashing. I'm

Samba on FreeBSD 4.5-Stable
Hello Samba Team Samba is great software and I use it in my home lan and will use it in our office lan! I have some hints: 1. Samba with Win98SE (plaintext password): You can use the same key as in win95.txt described. 2. Samba with Win2k (plaintext password): I've attached a html file for your documentation. 3. Firewall rules: While the installation the wrong ipfw rules will be set.

incomplete smbmount smbfs Win98SE iso8859-1 translation in kernel 2.4.18
I'm getting only partial iso8859-1 translation from an smbfs mount from my Win98SE machine. The smbfs mounted file system shows most lower-case accented characters fine; but, it substitutes underscores for most of the upper-case accented characters (and a few lower-case ones too): # uname -a Linux elm 2.4.18-8.1mdkian3 #7 Sat Aug 17 15:19:44 EDT 2002 i686 unknown (Mandrake 8.2 Linux with all

help
High all, In WinXP, I have created file "image.iso" using mkisofs, but unable to postprocess with the "isohybrid". I worked as follows: cd F:\syslinux-4.05\utils F:\syslinux-4.05\utils> isohybrid F:\image.iso and received >'isohybrid' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. What next? Thanks in advance.
