I am very happy (for you guys anyway) to report that this was NOT infact caused by ext3, but rather a very very untimely memory failure that occured during my convertion from ext2 to ext3. HPA, I believe that support to boot windows CD bootsectors was broken in 3.05. I have tested 2.13, 3.00, 3.02, 3.05, 3.06, 3.08, 3.11, and 3.20pre6. All versions >= 3.05 are broken. With Asterisk 1.4 I could use commands like: /usr/sbin/asterisk -rx "sip notify reboot-snom mjc_home" to reboot a snom phone. Hello Does anybody know that Linux kernel 2.4.4 supports ext3 fs (module or embedded). I looked at the config menus, but I couldn't see ext3 support. I don't know whether the other ext3 modules work under a kernel which does not support ext3. I will try to insmod ext3 modules. I'm searching and trying newly built kernels.
