Dear all, I was trying to use the R swig wrapper with R 2.7 and shogun ( http://www.shogun-toolbox.org ) but it fails completely, as in doesn't even compile and even after patching then though compiling - crashes... So I asked on swig-users/swig-devel CC'ing the potential R maintainer but I never received a reply. I now wonder if anyone here could help or would be willing to maintain

(no subject)
Hi, I?m trying to use Samba 3.0 with OpenLDAP as a PDC. Joining the Domain with a NT4 WS works fine, a machine Account is automatically created by Samba during the join process. After restarting the NT machine, the local netlogon process fails to start, and also some dependent processes, so no domain login is available. If i try to logon directly after the join process (without the restart) it

Running Sweave directly from Windows command line
Hello everybody out there using R, When I try to run the command "R CMD Sweave file.Rnw" (R Version 2.11.1) on the command line of Windows 7, an error message tells me that the command "sh" is not known. I suppose that R is trying to use a shell script, which can't be interpreted using Windows. However, running Sweave from the R command prompt works fine. Anyway, under

Can create files, but not modify...
Hello, I set up a new computer with CentOS 5.0 and Samba V3.0.25a. I copied my "old stuff" from the existig PC to the new one, created my samba shares and tried to connect from a Windows XP Home Edition PC. Results: 1) I can open all old data 2) I can create new files 3) I cannot modify and open the new files This seems a bit odd. Here is the config data: [global] workgroup =

(PR#9691) 'Bug'#424696: R CMD INSTALL -l <path> does not
I looked for evidence that this is supposed to happen, as it was news to me that it did on some versions of R. Possible sources of documentation seem to be R CMD INSTALL --help ?INSTALL R-intro.texi, R-exts.texi, R-admin.texi none of which mention this AFAICS, and all seem to be written assuming an existing library tree. DId you find something to suggest otherwise? Clearly no alpha/beta

Rebooting to hard drive from DOS floppy
Hi all, Do any of you have any ideas for getting a DOS floppy to reboot to the hard drive (which may contain Windows 98 or XP or Linux or Novell etc etc)? I want to use syslinux, but it does not support the localboot option like pxelinux and isolinux do. Basically, I want to boot DOS from a floppy, run some DOS stuff, then reboot to the hard drive while leaving the floppy disk in the drive.

Growing out of floppy images, what's the best alternative?
Hi. We've been using PXELINUX for years, to kick off OS installations (floppy images) and booting assorted tools. The addition of ISO support in memdisk opened up some new alternatives that we also use, e.g. booting WinPE ISO images over PXE. Today I downloaded a BIOS for a HP EliteBook 8440p and discovered that the BIOS file is 3 MB. I could probably squeeze it onto a 2.88 MB floppy image

Using memdisk to remotely flash BIOS
I am using memdisk to remotely flash the BIOS and other firmware. It works well for most flash programs. After the flash I need to initialize the NIC to send a signal to my management server that the flash is complete. I am curious as to how others have solved this problem. Thanks.

using smbmount for NT share
I posted a previous thread about using smbmount, but I am still having some problems, using samba version 2.0.5a on SuSE 6.2. I issue the statement: smbmount //NTServer/share /mnt/test -Iaddress -Uid%pswd Afterwards, if I go to the mount directory, i.e. 'cd /mnt' and issue the command 'ls -l' I get an error message 'ls: test: Input/output error'. After that, the mount
