Hi all, I have a strange problem with the Samba server as PDC. I periodically get the error message "No domain server was available to validate your password". But, at other times it would login fine and execute the login scripts to handle all the map drives. I don't have the slightest clue where the problem is. When the problem arise, I don't even need to do anything about it.

Thanks for the suggestion Andrew, I was hopeful, but removing the writeable made no difference. Still prints from NT, 2000, XP but not from Win95, 98. Any other ideas? -peter. We will setup a vpn, we also know the ports to open but the real question is if there is any parameter to increase the timeout period when the windows machines decide that there is no "share" at the other end....
