Click-to-dial CTI for Windows
Hello guys, Is there a decent click-to-dial CTI which works well with Asterisk? We have vanilla asterisk implementation and I have tried a few (ADA, Outcall etc) but they have poor documentation and don't work very well. We are looking for an application which can allow us to dial a number from Outlook and IE/Firefox for outbound calls and get a pop-up for inbound calls with call history

A different Win98 password problem
I can not get a laptop to running Win98 to mount samba shares on a Linux box, and I don't think it's the normal encrypted password problem. Here's the setup: Linux box has a class B ethernet connection to the internet and a class C connection to the laptop. +-------------------+ | Linux |--eth0--1.2.3.4---->internet | box

further problems with OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 on RH 6.2
I'm finding another problem with OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 on RH 6.2 (at least, I think it's the linux box that is the problem). I'm ssh'ing to a RH 6.2 box from a Solaris 7 server (scp also... seems like the same problem). I'm using authorized_keys and identity.pub files to do it automagically, and all works well when it's from user to user, where the username is the same, but if

Samba clients can't see partitions mounted via loop device from image files
Is there something special about filesystems mounted via the loop device, which prevents Samba from sharing them? I have a small LAN with several PCs on it. It has a few Windows machines, and a Linux machine running Mandrake 10 (kernel 2.6.3), which shares out its root ("/") read-only as "c". (Temporarily, for testing, it is shared with full write permissions, which I know

Linux box talks to XP Pro, XP Pro permissions deniedon LinuxBox
Let's keep this on list please... See if you can connect as samba user from samba box... smbclient -L WHATEVER_YOUR_SERVER_NAME -U Administrator smbclient -L WHATEVER_YOUR_SERVER_NAME -U Michael but note - casing is rather odd and might be your problem. UNIX is case sensitive but Windows/Samba is not case sensitive... therefore Samba will see 'Michael' as 'michael' and

another "Failed to verify incoming ticket"
Hello everyone, I'm sorry for this long post, but I think there is a real understanding problem for many people on ADS domain membership. I'm not the first to post about this type of problem, however I didn't find an answer to it in the archives and I followed the HOWTO-collection. Well, this is what I'm doing : I am using samba-3.0.1 compiled from source, MIT kerberos 1.3.1

Is this a bug or feature? Is there a way to have

Stumped at "Network Neighbourhood", Samba server is visible, but it's path can't be found ...
Hi all, I can see the RH7.3 linux box I've configured with the latest Redhat RPM samba package in the Windows 2000 network neighbourhood, but when I double click the W2000 computer icon I get the message "\\Linuxbox is not accessible, The network path was not found." The network is a small switched lan, sadly with only one unix box (RH7.3) and a mixture of Windows2000 and 98

two printers: one works ok in w9x/2k, other printer unavailable in Win98 BUT ok in w2k!
Hi all, I try to explain my strange Samba problem: I've done a linuxbox with Mandrake 8.2 distro; installed Samba 2.2 packages and two printers attached via parallel port: one works with the motherboard built-in parallel port, the other is connected via a pci parallel port card. Both works fine on win2000 clients (and on the linuxbox, too :); on windows 98 clients, both printers are

Linux box talks to XP Pro, XP Pro permissions denied on LinuxBox
My linux box can see, browse, and copy files from an XP Share. terminating the call, when transferer hangs up the call during attended transfer
Hello guys, I'm vainly trying to figure out how to setup quite a strange customers requirement: they require that when during attended transfer, (A->B->C) whenever B hangs up the call before it's connected to C, the call just returns to B, instead of changing to blind transfer. I tried using atxfer drop call option (enabling null channel in sources), but to no avail.. Is there

smb client problem
Hi! We're experiencing a really weird problem with our linux smb client. We map four directories to a NT4-share from our linux-box (2.2.12). The problem is that the mount goes through just fine with no complaints and I can see the files on that share, but, I can't see new files created with ls on the nt4-server on the linuxbox but if I run more <filename> I can see the contents of
