Samba and CUPS... Driving Me Psychotic
I have set up samba 2.2.2 (debian package 2.2.2-2, actually). Files are shared out (though Win98 doesnt like my valid users lines, a task for another day). However, it hits the fan when I try to share out my printer to my win2000 system (note: I can print from the server). Ive been through DIAGNOSIS.txt and the HOWTO collection, which didnt help, unless I missed something. Here are some relevant

XP Pro / Redhat / Samba Printer Suggestions
I am looking at buying a new home office printer and wondered what you all might suggest. My current printer is a very inexpensive Canon BubbleJet, and I find it clogs frequently, has very small ink tanks, and the Maintenance functions from my XP clients does not work with samba, requiring I switch the printer cable to an XP machine for maintenance. My config is this: - XP Professional

O/S: Linux R version : 2.2.1 The R server doesn't have http internet access. And the sys admins will not install the R libraries that I requested. So I have downloaded the packages that I want to intall and have moved them into my home directory on the server. These are a series of *.tar.gz files. I want to install the R libraries in my home directory, but I can't get it to work.

MinGW problem - unable to compile - config.log
Hi there! I've downloaded the MinGW shell, installed it as descripted in intall.txt, and also the gcc-core-3.4.2-20040916-1 and installed it. Cannot access SWAT on Redhat 8.0
Hello, I would like to use Swat to configure Samba. I installed the Redhat Samba package from samba.org and entered swat into my /etc/services file. I am frankly a little confused. I am reading O'Reily's "Red Hat Linux" it says to issue commands "chkconfig xinetd on", "chkconfig swat on", and finally "xinetd reload". On the third command

Samba Fails to Delete Folder and Leaves Behind Broken Symlinks
Hi, After tinkering with Samba, I managed to get my first share working on CentOS 7. I can create files and folders. I can delete them too. Except, there's one folder (possibly many more) that I can't delete, and I just can't figure out why. I have set SELinux to permissive and ensured proper ownership permissions. Yet, when I go to delete this folder, the files will be deleted,

problem with arima
Hi Laura! in your last line, you have myforecast$pred instead of my.forecast$pred Hope this helps! If that's not it, try str(my.list) str(my.forecast$pred) and check to see that they are both time series Sincerely, Erin Hodgess Associate Professor Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences University of Houston - Downtown mailto: hodgess at gator.uhd.edu From: Laura Quinn

Can't access DNS from RSAT
Daniel, I could kiss you :D I am using the default SSL certs in samba. I tried connecting to the new DC using it's FQDN instead of it's IP, and BAM, it connected just fine. Couldn't really tell you why, but as long as I can access it I'm happy! On Tue, Dec 12, 2017 at 11:20 AM, Daniel Carrasco <d.carrasco at i2tic.com> wrote: > Are you using the default ssl certs in

Reconstructing Datasets
Hi, Is it possible to recreate "smoothed" data sets in R, by performing a PCA and then reconstructing a data set from say the first 2/3 EOFs? I've had a look in the help pages and don't seem to find anything relevant. Thanks in advance, Laura Laura Quinn Institute of Atmospheric Science School of Earth and Environment University of Leeds Leeds LS2 9JT tel: +44 113 343 1596
