All combinations possible in a mutliple regression
Hi, I want to use four independent variables to predict the output of one dependent variable using a linear model lm. I want to compare all possible combinations of the 4 independent variables, including singles, pairs and triples. I was thinking of using the AIC test to compare all models and pick the best one. The model looks like this : lm(Y ~ X1 + X2 + X3 + X4) Thanks for your help

Mutliple sets of data in one dataset....Need a loop?
Hi I'm hoping someone can help me I am a relative newbie to R. I have data that is in a similar format to this... Experiment Score1 Score2 X -0.85 -0.02 X -1.21 -0.02 X 1.05 0.09 Y -1.12 -0.07 Y -0.27 -0.07 Y -0.93 -0.08 Z 1.1 -0.03 Z 2.4 0.09 Z -1.0 0.09 Now I can easily have a look at the overall correlation of score 1 and 2 by doing this plot(data[,2], data[,3]) or fit <-

Merging list of dataframes with reshape merge_all
Hi, I'd like to merge mutliple dataframes from a list of dataframes by some common columns. The approach for simply merging 2 dataframes is working with: merge(df1,df2,by=c("col1","col2","col3"),all=TRUE) For mutliple dataframes in a list I try to use the merge_all command from the package reshape. The documentation states that the command takes a list of

Putting a password on the international call
Dear List; To have better security, how can I put a password on the international calls (if the user dialed the international call, then it will be asked for password to send the call outside)? Can this password read from the CDR file to know whom did these international calls (using which password? As I might have mutliple passwords). Regards Bilal

Rails Wiki content not appearing
Hi everyone, I apologize in advance for the newbie question, but I haven''t been able to view any content on the Rails Wiki pages. All I get are the Table of Contents and the Discussions. I am able to view content when I click on "View Page Source", but obviously this is not ideal. I''m using Chrome16 and Firefox8. Thanks, Mike -- You received this message because

Applying a function
Hi, I need help writing a function I capture seal pups mutliple times during the lactation season in order to monitor their growth rate. When I release them, the recovery (mother-pup) time is not the same for all individuals. I want to know if individuals that recover their mother the fastest are the ones with the highest growth rates. So, I noted at every release if the pup

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Thank you for the reply. I did find imapsync whilst perusing Google. I will give it a shot, it sounds more realistic/reliable. I have a hoard of emails going back to 1999, so I want as few errors as possible :) On 11/7/15 3:31 PM, Philon wrote: > Hi there, > > I was in the same position, but for mutliple accounts. Integrating with Toshiba Strata DK40i KSU
We've done a direct swap of an old Amanda voicemail system with a shiney new Asterisk system (Asterisk 1.0.9). The system consists of 4 FXO ports on the * box (TDM400P), and three old Wildcards we aren't using (too buggy we found). CO lines-> Toshiba -> FXO ports on * We want to branch out a little more and use it as an auto-attendant. The first problem seems to be an asterisk

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
I have been attempting to use the cyrus2dovecot script, to no avail. I have many years of content that I want to convert from Cyrus to Dovecot; with the above not working, what are other options out there? Another idea I had is simply set up another IMAP server (using Dovecot) and drag-and-drop and just wait, which I may end up doing. In the above, I copied over my entire /var/imap and

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hello, Because it did not work ? In a similar situation, we where forced to use isync/mbsync in imap to imap mode because dsync did not work. It was reported here more than a year ago (May 2014). Time to time, I see the same report from other trying to use dsync to do a migration to dovecot. Dsync is a very appealing and elegant solution to this usage, but it does not always work in real

[LLVMdev] Breaking critical edges
Is the pass "Break Critical edges" acheives the same as edge-splitting SSA, i.e., a node has either multiple predecessors or multiple successors but not both. A node with multiple predecessors and multiple successors is replaced by two consecutive nodes joined together. The first node has multiple predecessors and second node as its only successor. The second node has first node as

Performance and simultaneous connections over SSH
Hi all, I have about 15 LDAP servers that will be using Rsync over SSH to sync up their access logs to a centralized server for further processing. The estimated log volume is around 12 Gigs / days total. On the centralized server, the directory where the logs are being synced is an enterprise-grade NAS. So it looks like this: LDAP servers --> rsync over SSH --> NFS mount on log repo

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi, No, I tried fetching over imapc too exactly as you suggested. In my case it was not from cyrus, but from CriticalPath. isync was finally able to do the job, preserving flags and doing UIDs mapping. The most boring part was generating proper config file for thousands of accounts. A working imapc/dsync would have been better. Emmanuel. Le 26/11/2015 15:24, Sami Ketola a ?crit : > Hi,

Retrieving Mutliple Records using find_by_*
I was hoping that AR''s find_by_* magic methods would help me retrieve multiple items somewhat like the following: names_to_find = [''Larry'', ''Moe'', ''Curly''] found_people = Person.find_by_name(names_to_find) Is there a way to accomplish this using find_by_* (or even find(:all) using some sort of conditions) or must I resort to SQL

conceptual problem deploying git repos to a puppetmaster
So before I start I should be upfront and disclose that I''m using external_nodes, so in keeping with that I''m trying as hard as possible to keep all the actually ''specific'' data in the node config files (currently just yaml)and have nothing specific in modules especially. So I have this definition: (credit goes to DavidS for the inspiration) define git::repo (
