openssh 3.7p1 sshd on Solaris 8 / sparcv9:
sshd runs fine, and starts to allow the login. However, when reading

asterisk, cisco 3640's and DIDs...
I would think I could do this but for some reason I am stymied.
I have a PRI from RCN connected to a cisco 3640 (in my day "cisco" is
all lower case :-)). My config looks something like this on the cisco...

Queue Questions
I am having a problem with the Call Queue Feature.
If I let a user into the Queue prior to an agent being available for
them to take the call, they experience the following:
1) they hear that they are the first in line
2) when the agent finally logs in (the caller on hold in the
queue is sent to the users phone)
3) the AGENT is still in the login phase hearing that they are

Queues with Dynanic Users (BUG?)
I am running r79979 of Asterisk Trunk, and I am having problems trying to use
app_queue.so.
I want to use the extension 510 to be a line where users can call technical
support.
Extensions 511 and 512 are used by the operators to dynamically make
themselves a Queue Member or not.
So, operators call 511, and they should get added to the Queue as a Queue
member.
When users call 510 then, it

Lustre 1.2.2 packages available
Lustre 1.2.2 has been released!
Lustre 1.2.2 contains a significant number of fixes over Lustre 1.2.1
and is a recommended update for anyone running earlier Lustre versions.
The most user-visible among them are:
- Allow users to set per-directory default striping values
- Fix data coherency bugs with concurrent write/truncate
- The blocks count is updated on clients for stat without revoking

ACD Bug with AddQueueMember Stable
Good Day again list,
Encountered another problem in the ACD queue...
If I use the ADDQueueMember to dynamically add members as
foolows,
exten =>
403,1,AddQueueMember(techsupport|SIP/${CALLERIDNUM})
lets assume I called extension 403 from my extension 2204. then
a caller (extension 2203) enters into the techsupport queue
I am able to receive the support call on my phone (extension

Native TDM Bridge
I have a two port TE205P Digium card. I have set everything up to
create a native zap bridge between the two spans. Everything works
perfectly except one thing. Our telco has a "password" that has to be
entered as soon as a long distance call is made. So if I dial a long
distance call from my meridian system, asterisk bridges the call
between two channels, my telco picks up and gives

Building from scratch, would like the benefit of everyone's experience
Hi all,
I am going to be building an Asterisk system to replace the current
aging (aged) Nortel Meridian system in a travel agency. There is
already a voice T-1 in place and currently there are about 20 extensions
in use. I would want to move up to about 25 extensions immediately and
about 30-35 within the year.
I am going to want IVR and voicemail, plus the ability to ring a group

Nasty little incident ...
We have a te410p, with the following connections:
span 1 connected to a 32 Channel EuroISDN
span 2 connected to a card in a legacy pbx (Meridian)
span 3 connected to a 10 Channel EuroISDN
span 4 connected to a card in a legacy pbx (Meridian)
We have no need for the meridian now, and decided to turn it off. I did
not change the zaptel.conf settings, nor the zapata.conf settings.

Nortel digital FXO channel bank? Exists?
We have a client with a Nortel PBX with digital phone sets. Due to T1
problems (old firmware), we are interested in trying a FXO channel bank.
Is there a channel bank (or equivalent) which emulates Meridian digital
phone sets? In order words, an FXO channel bank that's Meridian digital?
Thanks
MD

RFC: Constructing StringRefs at compile time
Well, apparently clang has clang::StringLiteral in clang/AST/Expr.h
So, our options are either: Allow this name clash (obviously the namespaces
don't clash, only the names) and deal with it when it's an issue (which
will be limited to clang, and even then not very often), or choose a
different name.
Thoughts?

Cisco 7960, Nortel MICS, Digital sets, ...
I have a couple of questions I'm hoping folks can help me out with.
When I search the mailing list, I see folks doing what I'm interested in
so here's hoping !
- How are people making out with interfacing to the 7960? I'm
considering buying a number of these as they look quite feature rich.
But, are they easy to interface to?
- Will I be able to interface with softkeys on

Viral activitiy coming from an IP in your network.
Hi, my name is Grant Taylor. I am a subscriber to the LARTC mail list lartc@mailman.ds9a.nl. The LARTC mail lists has been plagued with viral email coming from changing IPs in your one of your subnets. Based on the fact that the WhoIs information below says that the subnet in question is a dial up pool this would explain the changing IPs. In less than 6 days the list has received 14 viral
