Hi, Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial about pdb-mysql ? I always checked http://us2.samba.org/samba/ftp/cvs_current/docs/htmldocs/pdb-mysql.html, but It seems to be a little bit complicated for me... I created a table called "user", but I don't know how to fill it... Regards, Kenni

I had the same problem. You need to go into your Makefile and add the [LIBS] definition to the part where winbind.so is linked. Just take it on to the end of the line and run "make" and "make install" again. Hi! I use samba with FreeBSD 4.4. And sometimes (when i restart computer) Samba does not start. In error i have error like this server /kernel: pid 228 (nmbd), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) Then i have to start manualy, and everything works. And there is one strange thing. I have finish setting up samba on a Freebsd machine. Everything is working great except where I try to access the server through the Network Neighborhood on the NT network. It takes up to about 5 minutes before it can access the folders on the server or download or upload files. What could be my problem(s)? Michael Brown

How are you verifying? Have you tried using top and looking for smbd and nmbd? Swat may be giving you erroneous info if that is what you are using to verify.
