What are my options for implementing password aging using samba as my PDC ? I can set the users Linux password to expire, but it doesn't seem to propagate to their samba passwords. I absolutely need this functionality. Is OpenLDAP the answer? Joseph Morin

I have a large table (> 20,000 records) with text columns for which I need to build a search function. Is there a "Rails" way to index all the entries and NOT search using LIKE? "LIKE" searches can get very slow and I would rather build an index of the columns to speed up things. Just want to know if there is something like "acts_as_indexable"

At one site I support, I have just recently put a policy file on their server to try and make some stuff easier to manage. Only problem is Windows is not even trying to load it. I watched the traffic in Wireshark, and there's no request for the ntconfig.pol file at all. And of course nothing from it is being applied.
