i'm currently running samba 2.2.8a as a domain member server to an NT4Server.... no problems will be upgrading the PDC to a W2K server next week... there isn't a need to use LDAP with Samba with W2KServer is there ? I can still go with my current setup can I ?

I'm trying to understand the relationship between these 3 options: Realm = MYGROUP.COM Security = ADS Workgroup = MYGROUP And my samba file server is a member of AD My server is W3K Nothing seemed to work until I specified the realm Do I also NEED the workgroup parameter ? Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but when I view my log.smbd file, I see the following line: [2002/11/25 08:20:40, 3] lib/access.c:check_access(318) check_access: no hostnames in host allow/deny list. But looing in smb.conf I see hosts allow = 127.0.0.1 10.0.0. Am I looking in the wrong place or am I not understanding what's going on? Thanks, all
