Hi Everybody,
I tried to use SAMBA 3.0.7 in Mandrake 10.1 / Kernel 2.6 but It? not

and saves profiles perfect). But when I try to put a second machine,
using the same version of Windows and the same configuration, the
machine make the registration in

Printing to shared printer using a Mac (OSX)
I am using Mandrake 10 as a file and print server on for my home network. All
of my PC clients can print successfully to the epson stylus c60 that I have
attached to the printer. My Mac, using OS X (10.3) cannot. It says that it
cannot find the printer .. Is there a special setting that I must use in
the smb.conf file?

What do I need to do to fix this?
notes -

Could I request home help with logon drive mapping.
I am able to join make a (win2k) PC join a domain with samba as pdc.
I am able to logon but I DO NOT GET the HOME DRIVE.
I am able to get to my file via network neighbourhood.
ON the PC I HAVE an OPTION to MAP my HOME DRIVE, but I would like the
home drive to appear as the "H:" drive in "My Computer" after I log in.

libsmbclient bug ?
Hello,
I've tried using libsmbclient from the 2.2.6 samba package (on a slackware 8.1,
compiled --with-libsmbclient --with-sendfile-support --enable-debug (without
debug also) ) and it segfaults when I call smbc_stat() (or smbc_fstat() ) on a
file. I'm sorry I'm not able to find out the problem with gdb, the output (with
the library compiled with debugging enabled) is:

ntlogon.conf
Hey Everyone...
I'm hoping this is an easy one. I am using the ntlogon scripts that
come with the samba examples (ntlogon.py and ntlogon.conf). It's working
fine, except for one thing. I'm trying to set entries up for the groups
"Domain Admins" or other groups with spaces in the name.
The example that comes with it shows ...

w2ksrv, and a samba based netlogon?
Is it possible to have a windows 2000 server in AD mode, with a samba server
as a domain member, and have the roaming profiles and netlogon stuff all
happen on the samba server?
So:
W2ksrv as ADC.
Samba box is joined to AD on the w2ksrv box.
We then add a user to the w2ksrv box, and set up the profile to load from
\\sambaserver\homes\profile\ and to run the logon script from

ADMIN issue - manitu
I've been blocked twice this morning, and removed myself once - the first
time, by the time I got to work and looked at the list, it was already
gone. My hosting provider works with those jerks at manitu. I've ranted a
number of times over the years at why their method is a *lousy* method for
blocking spam in the second decade of the 21st century.
Now this: here's another argument as

[R-1.4.0] minimum spanning tree of large ontology
Dear all,
I have an ontology which I would like to load in R to then compute the
minimum distance between elements.
Since this ontology is not only DAG, the problem is non trivial and
therefore decided to use R with the powerful e1071
library (allShortestPaths) to do that. That method requires to provide a
distance matrix between the
various objects. My ontology contains 32768 objects and

drop manitu.net
listadmin,
Can you PLEASE, PLEASE find *any* other blacklist than manitu? This
asshole's method was ok a dozen years ago; these days, with hosting sites
hosting tens or hundreds of thousands of domains, with too many running
Windows, and so infected and sending out spam. They then send all mail via
one mailhost, with the result that those of us with *no* spam coming out
are frequently
