Hi, I am using Redhat 7.3 which comes with openssh 3.1p1. I am running an antivirus software called vexira on this server. It starts of 2 daemon processes in the background. Whenever I stop/start these daemons in an ssh session, it hangs. I added "shopt -s huponexit" (without the quotes) in /etc/bashrc, but the hangs still occur. Hello All, I am setting up a samba backup UNIX box. It will periodically login onto a windoze box(with smbclient), pickup the files, and save them. The problem is that I couldn't make any error correction in case of power blackout or anything similar. That is, while backing up, if I shutdown the WIN machine, one I'm backing up, smbclient goes crazy, giving broken pipe error.

I was using MaAfee(free version) antivirus. That's good but it makes my pc too slow. I am using kaspersky now. But searching the web I came to know that Bitdefender is the most popular antivirus.
