Switching modes
Hi All, I saw a document mentioning different ext3 modes, e.g. modes=ordered, but I can't find the documentation of this feature, nor a description of the different modes. Could someone give me a pointer where I should look? TIA, Jesper -- Jesper Holmberg |"But how can | jesper.holmberg@enst-bretagne.fr | one be warm | ENST Br, BP 832, 29285 Brest, FRANCE |

zombies in dovecot-auth processes
Hi all, I use dovecot-1.0-alpha2. Way can't auth process shutdown in a clean way. I allways discover lot of zombies for dovecot-auth, in a short time before shootingdown by linux. But everything work fine for client side. Example: dovecot 22931 0.0 0.0 3840 1104 ? S 12:12 0:00 pop3-login dovecot 22932 0.0 0.0 3844 1108 ? S 12:12 0:00 pop3-login root

openssh X11Forwarding problem solution
Hi! Several people noticed problems with openssh Version 1.2.2 through 1.2.3 related to X11 forwarding under Linux. For example: Magnus Holmberg <pucko at lysator.liu.se> wrote: > I have just installed openssh-1.2.2p1-1 > on two of my machines and I have one problem. > > I have > X11Forwarding yes > in my /etc/ssh/sshd_config > > but when I try to ssh to that

dealing with a messy dataset
You should be able to use that header information to create the correct parameters to the read_fwf function to read in the data. Jim Holtman Data Munger Guru What is the problem that you are trying to solve? Tell me what you want to do, not how you want to do it. How do I resolve a "lp_servicenumber" error
I'm trying to execute the samba server, smbd as a daemon on Linux (RedHat5.2 Intel). I use smbd -D -l logfile -d 7 to get a log of what happened. The daemon starts and then dies immediately. The log reveals an error as follows: [1999/08/26 17:18:28, 7] param/loadparm.c:lp_servicenumber(2634) lp_servicenumber: couldn't find lp I have no clue how to rectify this. I'd greatly

dealing with a messy dataset
dear Jim, Yes I fixed the problem. Thanks again all of you for your contribution! This worked : start <- c(1, 20, 35, 41, 44, 48, 53, 59, 64, 70, 76, 78, 83, 88, + 93, 114, 122, 127) data1<-read_fwf("lvg_table2.txt",skip=70, fwf_widths(diff(start))) Well now I know how to deal with fixed-width files :) Cheers Jean-Philippe On 05/10/2017 18:42, jim

Hiya.... weird graphics issue.
Hi all. Ok, here's the situation. I'm trying to run QuArk under Ubuntu/WINE 1.2. Most programs work just fine. What I'm noticing with QuArk is that the window only seems to recognize the upper left two thirds or so of the screen. It won't draw the actual program window any larger than that. It's as if as far as WINE is concerned, I have a resolution of 1024x768 and

Status of SSH 2.0 protocol support?
Just to bring everyone up to date, could we get a report on the status of support for the 2.x protocol? The home page says "next major release" - is that 1.3 or 2.0? And is there any feel for when it'll be generally available? -- John Hardin Internal Systems Administrator Apropos Retail Management Systems, Inc. <johnh at aproposretail.com>

sieve
Hi, is there a sieve option that can reject a mail directly without creating a new mail and sending that out? I know about reject "Reject message goes here"; but I am looking for a mechanism that can reject Mail. Postfix can use reject_unverified_recipient to connect to LMTP and ask if a mail would successfully be enqueued and will return the status gotten from the LMTP server if not.
