Can't connect, even to myself
I have a two-node home network: a Linux machine (RH 5.0, samba-1.9.17p4-3.rpm, also running bind as authoritative for my home domain) and Win 95 with Client for MS Net & File & Print sharing. Linux = calvin.home = 10.5.1.1. Win95 = hodge.home = 10.5.1.10. Calvin is the default gateway for the Win95 box, since I often connect via PPP to the Internet, and I've set up IP

smbtar not working
I install Samba 2.0.7 on my HP 715-80 running HPUX 10.20. The HP server and two PC's are connected on a local LAN. I can map network, move files, etc. However, when I try to use smbtar I get an error. The unix server is hobbs, the two PC's are calvin and marmaduke. The C: drive on calvin is named drive_c and set for share r/w. I can use tar from the cmd line on the unix 'puter to
