Hi!
Just another question...
I've an Samba-PDC (2.2.5 --with-ldapsam) - and of course a BDC (at least I hope
that I get this running soon) with an LDAP-backend (users/machins/groups). If I
want to create something like a "Subdomain" with some - but not all - of the
LDAP-users, can this be done, and if how? for example if we have a domain EDU

Multiple Domains/Workgroups (again sigh)
Hi All,
After a couple of months break (and running only a single instance of SAMBA)
I once again need to try and get two simultaneous instances of SAMBA running
on the same machine, each serving up a different domain/workgroup.
Here's the scoop:
one machine, with dual NICs, the first one is on 192.168.1 (students) and the
second one is on 192.168.2 (staff). Here's the diff on the conf

Samba 2.0.6 with automount on Solaris
Hi, all
Until recently, we were running Samba 1.9.18p7 in a Solaris 2.6
environment. We configured our environment with configure --with-nisplus
--with-automount. With that configuration, we were able to allow
multiple machines within our workgroup to act as windows 95 logon
servers. Because everthing was automounted. No matter which machine a
person gained access to, it provided them with the

Data Restructuring Question
I think I am overlooking a call or concept in R to help me easily and quickly restructure my data.frame:
Sometimes the data I receive looks like:
VariableName, Run1, Run2, Run3, Location
temp, 15.0, 16.0, 17.0, There
And other times it looks like:
VariableName, Run, Location

I would like to use the header information in order to be able to

lists within a list / data-structure problem
Dear all,
this is a rather basic question; i am not sure how to structure my data
well:
I want to extraxt various measures from my raw-data. These measures are
of different sizes, so I decided to store them in a list, like:
run1 <- list(Dom = (my_vector), mean = (my_single_number))
I can do that in a for loop for 40 runs, ending up with 40 lists: run1,
run2, ..., run40.
