samba 3.0 and group mapping
hi list, i am playing with samba 3.0 alpha 17 from cvs 20020701 and global groups running as pdc. i installed to /usr/local/samba30 (having the lock dir under /var/lock/samba30). i mapped some unix groups, but the dont appear as global group. on the w2k sp1 machine. i have also no domain admins right. the domain logon itself works fine. any ideas? btw: swat doesnt not work for me, it

winXP sp1 seems to break roaming profiles on samba3
I applied sp1 and get a message saying that the "a server copy of the profile exists that does not have the correct security. Either the current user or the Administrator's group must be the owner of the folder." the owner of the profile is correct... Samba 3.0 issues with mapped drives properties
Mandrake 9.1 Samba 3.0, windows2000 pro sp4. I finally got Samba 3.0 working thanks to G?mes G?za. Error Message?
I'm running samba-3.0.2-7.FC1 on a Fedora Core 1 box. Doman Group in new version of samba
New to list sorry if this has been address but didn't see it in recent archives. FC1 with Samba 3.0.2 I had an older RH73 system running samba 2 on it and recent moved up to FC and samba 3. Most everything transfered over well. I just took my smb.comf from the old system and put it on the new system and then ran swat making sure I didn't forget anything. Restarted server and wow... It

Samba 3.0 alpha20-2 and Win2k SP3
Is there anyone on the list that has been able to get Win2k SP3 working with the 3.0 alpha version? I'm able to join but I can NOT log in. XP DESKTOP ERROR 2
I sent previously thought I might try again.. I have a samba 3 server hosting approximately 5 clients. I am having problems with one. upgraded old smb system to new release with a few errors
I moved an old smb system (version 2) over to a completely new system with version 3.0.7 running on FC2. I just copied the config files over and then ran swat and adjusted any problems that I found. Then save the swat config and started the smb server. Gosh be Good! It worked just fine. But... I stared noticing entries like these in the logs:

I say it because it is not clear, and I had to search a lot before finding why i could not log on. (it work with spnego=no with alpha17 !)
