Why the limitation on Windows environnment introduced in OpenSSH 4.0?
Hello all, First off, thanks for all of your hard work on OpenSSH! I recently updated our SSH infrastructure from OpenSSH 3.8.1p1 to Cygwin 1.7 (which includes OpenSSH 5.4p1) and noticed that when running commands via ssh on my Windows machines I no longer have access to the full set of Windows environment variables. Digging through source, I see that this change was introduced in v4.0 (the

compiling nut-2.2.2 on Solaris
Fails because libusb_close does not have a prototype early enough in libusb.c. Adding it before the call fixes it. I haven't started running it yet, but at least it now compiles. -- John-Mark Gurney <jmg at cryptography.com> Cryptography Research, Inc. +1 415 397 0123 ext. 332

[LLVMdev] question about license for clang intrinsic headers...
I was about to copy wmmintrin.h for the FreeBSD project, but I noticed that the file (clang/lib/Headers/wmmintrin.h) does not have a copyright statement in it, though it says: * The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in * all copies or substantial portions of the Software. Also, the license is significantly different than what is contained in LICENSE.TXT, as the

Samba 2.2.5 is crap.
Unstable windozes (hangs all the time) Major bugs in the printing system, mount and smbmount commands. Samba 2.2.5 is completely usable if you ask me. Crap I would say and should never been released. I consider to change to Beeweb although it cost money. BTW how do u uninstall the dirt?? using ./uninstall ??? ===== Investigating the Norwegain 4.th Secret ServiceThe multiheaded

Suddenly can't print: "rec_read bad magic..."
Suddenly, today, my wife's Windows 95 machine can't print to the network printer on my Linux machine. It complains that "there was an error printing to \\posh\lp ... There was a problem printing to the port." The error 1st occurred (coincidentally?) after I had upgraded the kernel from 2.4.18 to 2.4.19. But rebooting to 2.4.18 has made no difference. Redhat firewall problem...
I've just tried setting up a Shrike (9) version of Redhat. Using the medium settings of lokkit, then adding manually accept commands for ports 137/udp 138/udp, 139/tcp and 445/tcp, I thought I should have been ready to go. This isn't the case, however. I know it's not the smb.conf settup because when I kill iptables samba works. When iptables IS running however, it will respond

I can print to them, and the jobs spool to the directory defined in the smb.conf file, but they never leave the spool directory. Any ideas where to start looking for this?
