[OT maybe] netcafe firewall
Hi all, I appologise in advance if this is a little OT, but I am building a box that will serve as firewall and router for a small ''internet cafe / netcafe'' and am using CentOS... So here it is: What are the best tools to be used for keeping the potential script kiddies from ''harming the Internet'' :) ? I specifically want to be able to detect and prevent

NT domain: errors in diagnostic tests 3 and 7+

My aim is to have shares which anyone in the domain can access without a password. However it is not working; either (a) the Windows 95/98 clients are being prompted for a password (and no password is accepted); or (b) they are getting "The share name was not

problem logging on to samba domain (pdc) from a win x pworkstation
If I'm not mistaken, the sign or seal hack from samba2.2.3 is broken. Use the newer hack or manually modify your registry. I have already added a Win10 machine to a domain, where only Win7 clients were joined before that. I have managed this domain from Win7 only, so far. Therefore I believe that e.g. the Windows Update policy is not fit for

I have an AD with 1 Samba DC and 5 Windows 10 clients. The DC and the clients all have a fixed IPv4 address. In the windows event viewer, I constantly see the following warning: Event 8019, DNS Client Events ------------------------------------------ The system failed to register host (A or AAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter with settings: Adapter Name: {someGUID} Host Name:

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Fix for bugpoint -remote-client

Bugpoint is a standalone too and does not require any separate script. The script is a helper for using ssh as a remote client. Bugpoint should not be aware of any details how the test program will be delivered to a remote target, get executed there, and

Hai, I suggest you dont remove the "Register DNS" checkbox from the network" option. If you setup if correct, when you join a computer to the domain, It wil automatily registere the computer en the AD DNS. And todo so you need the "Register DNS" checkbox from the network" For example, i use for now an dhcp server ! the DHCP server i use it NOT in any of the MS

Viktor, thanks again! Now that I did this (added the Win10 1511 ADMX files to the central store), I probably will have to recreate the policies that will be applied to Win10 machines, right? Is this your first-and-only DC ever for that domain? Did you try to re-join the Win clients with deleting the client objects after the 'leave'?
