Ahm, it wasn't money that influenced the OJ case, it was, race, coupled with
incompetence on the side of the prosecution.
Now if Reiser had kept his mouth shut he might have just been acquitted. He
had a good attorney, that attorney gave him sound advise and he chose
to ignore it anyways.
I also believe if he had confessed to what happened he would have received
manslaughter, though after

Creating a Sparse Matrix from a Sparse Vector
Hello,
I am working with a sparse matrix that is approx. 13,900 by 14,100. My
goal is to select a row out of the matrix and create a new matrix with that
row repeated 13,900 times without having to do any looping. Example:
Starting Matrix:
exampleMatrix
3 x 4 sparse Matrix of class "dgCMatrix"
[1,] 1 . . .
[2,] . 1 . 0.5
[3,] . . 1 ..
New Matrix:..

Winbind in Samba 2.2.5 not automatically mapping the NT users with corresponding UNIX accounts
Have you tried in smb.conf
username map = /usr/local/samba/lib/domainuser.map
winbind use default domain = no
For every user you have to create an entry in the
/usr/local/samba/lib/domainuser.map, that looks like
<unixusername> = "<domainname>+<username>"
I?m using a script that generates the domainuser.map automaticly, because
our users are using NIS

HP Deskjet 1000c
Howdy all -
I have Samba 2.0.3 running like a champ on a dual PPro 200, 128 MB RAM,
running Slackware 3.6, kernel 2.2.5. Running like a champ as far as file
sharing is concerned, that is.
I have an HP Deskjet 1000c hanging off the parallel port. I set up a raw
printer in /etc/printcap, the line looks like this:
dj1000|DeskJet 1000c:sh:lp=/dev/lp0:sd=/var/spool/lpd/dj1000

Apache slows to a grinding halt... Did I screw up or is something wrong?
Hello,
So, I just got through a very stressful couple of hours. I''ve been
running a rails application for a few months on a dedicated server.
The application isn''t really that intensive and has been serving
roughly 50k requests / day. It''s been handling really well, really
fast, and all is good. The deployment configuration I am using is
apache 2.2.3 with

return code question
We are trying to automate the running of our rspec tests for our Rails app
on a build server using Capistrano. The problem is that Capistrano seems to
think that the command called to run the model tests failed when in fact I
believe it succeeded. I believe the problem has to do with the return code
from the command I am running.. The command I am running is:

Possibly dumb questions about DC and user/system limits
Because of user access growth, the number of processes associated with
IMAP has increased and I thought to change some of the configured
parms. dovecot -n yields:

Error returning browse list: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Andrew, Jerry and the rest of the team:
Hello again! It has been quite some time since I was here and waded the
waters to set up bind8 and samba 2.07 on my trust mdk 7.2 box. (by the way,
it is still working like a champ) over 400 days uptime before the last
extended power outage. Well, obviously a lot has changed since the 2.07 days
and I am now working on a SuSE 8.2 box with samba 2.2.7a

everything except \\dc1\netlogon
Symptoms:
Accessing \\dc1\netlogon -> Auth fail
Accessing \\dc1\netlogon2 -> Works (same config!!!)
Accessing \\dc1\s1\netlogon

Sorting a list
Dear R Users,
A bit of a simple question, but I could not find the answer thru google
("sorting lists r cran","how can i sort a list r cran") or RSiteSearch...
how can I sort a list ?
One imagines something like sort.list would do the job, but that's not the
one.
> foo<-list(a=10,b=2,c=3)
> sort.list(foo)
Error in sort.list(foo) : 'x' must be atomic

xvc0 is a xen virtual console and does not correspond directly to a physical
device that I am aware of.
