One way trust relationship between Win2k and Samba 2. x.x PDC
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but would it then be possible to
join a "real" NT4 or Win2k BDC to the Samba domain and establish the trust
relation from our other Win2k? Or does the trust relationship have to be
"registered" with the entire domain and therefore all the domain
controllers?

trust relationship: samba PDC & AD in Native Mode
Hi all,
I'd have a question: is it possible for a Samba3 server acting as PDC
(or AD) for clients win95-98, NT to establish a trust relationship with
an Active Directory Win2k working in Native Mode?
The aim is to give some old Clients access to some servers belonging a
modern AD domain.
I made some tests but could not get through. I'm doubtful this may work
at all at the status of the

Windows 7 64 bits with Samba PDC (trust relationship problem)
Hi
I would like to know if anyone has success in making 64-bit Windows Seven
work with a Samba PDC without any problems?
I have a Samba 3.5.6 server running on Debian Lenny. Samba works properly
and is using the LDAP backend, which is integrated with Kerberos, GSSAPI,
etc...
Abount Windows Seven... I changed the registry as recommended Samba wiki,
applied the hotfix to not give the DNS error

Problem with Win 7 and Samba 3.3.10 PDC (Trust Relationship Between Workstation and Domain Failed)
Dear all,
We are trying to install a new Samba server to replace the old one and
support Windows 7 clients. But it doesn't work !
When we try to register a machine into th domain, it seems to be
accepted by the client but we find these messages in samba logs :
> rpc_server/srv_netlog_nt.c:_netr_ServerAuthenticate2(555)
> _netr_ServerAuthenticate2: netlogon_creds_server_check

Sweavelistingutil: Encoding problems
Hello,
I am not sure whether this is a bug or lack of R experience.
However, I am using your Sweavelistingutil package, which is very
nice. Obviously I use it to create LaTeX files. These are encoded in
utf8.
However, when I use the Sweavelistingutil is uses some funky
character for "`" and "'" that is not recognized.
Here is an example from my tex-file:

Inter-domain trust relationship AND logon script/ntconfig.pol
Hi there,
I'm using an inter-domain trust relationship (DOM-B trusted, DOM-A
trusting, COMP-A=DOM-A computer member).
It works as expected (ish), DOM-B users can logon onto DOM-A
computers.
I'd like to know if it is possible to force login scripts and
ntconfig.pol to be read from the DOM-A pdc server, rather than from
the DOM-B one ?
My setup includes a samba trusted domain and several

PDC: "The trust relationship ... failed" from the beginning
Hi,
When I try a net logon from Windows 7 64-bit Business (don't have any
other Windows machines), I get "The trust relationship between this
workstation and the primary domain failed". The discussion I've found
around the Web regarding this error message seems to be only in the
context of the 30 day password expiry issue, where the solution is to
simply rejoin the domain.

Samba PDC & Groups & Trust relationships & LDAP
Hi.
It's been a while since i got into samba again seriously(about 3
years), about a week ago I decided to dive into it again, I have
Samba 2.2.3a up and going with an LDAP backend, communicating
with the LDAP server over TLS. I established a one way trust
relationship with the local NT4-based domain. It works fine, I
can access network resources and stuff.(I intend to replace
the NT4-based

Simple and Stupid Share...
Hullo, All...
I have HPUX 10.20 with SaMBa 2.2.3a installed... All I want to do is
make a single share with read only access for everybody, no matter the
user people are using, in other words, they don't need to have the user
on the server side.
I tried to setup, with no success. Anybody knows something?
Thanks...

Making the plot window wider and using the predict function
Hello,
I am new to R and have a couple of questions. My data set contains the variables "Bwt" and "Hwt", which are bodyweight and heartweight, respectively, of a group of cats.
With the following code, I am making two plots, both to be viewed in the same plot window in R:
library(MASS)
maleData <- subset(cats, Sex == "M")
linreg0 <- lm(maleData$Hwt ~
