OpenVox G400P network registration problems
Is anybody intimately familiar with the OpenVox G400P card, or the Quectel M20
RF modules fitted to it?
I am having a strange network connectivity issue with just such a card, as
follows:
The card was previously used with four O2 SIMs, and -- once I mastered
creating message PDUs! -- worked beautifully, save for the fact that O2's
definition of "unlimited" as in text messages

displaying label meeting condition (i.e. significant, i..e p value less than 005) in plot function
Dear R users,
Here is my problem:
# example data
name <- c(paste ("M", 1:1000, sep = ""))
xvar <- seq(1, 10000, 10)
set.seed(134)
p <- rnorm(1000, 0.15,0.05)
dataf <- data.frame(name,xvar, p)
plot (dataf$xvar,p)

Dear All
I am reposting because I my problem is real issue and I have been working on
this. I know this might be simple to those who know it ! Anyway I need help

apologies for duplicate posts - btw what's the real diff between gmane.network.samba.general and mailing.unix.samba?
Sorry to those of you that have received duplicates of my messages over
the easter weekend.
I had subscribed to the nntp server of my isp (pipex uk) and searched
for "samba" it showed a few hits but "gmane.network.samba.general"
showed as containing no posts but "mailing.unix.samba" showed a bit more
than 20'000 so I subscribed to that and sent a slurr of

Huge difference btw system time and elapsed time
Hi all,
I got this time for my code,
> proc.time()-pt
user system elapsed
132541.743 0.004 132533.526
As you can see, there is huge difference btw elapsed time and system time.
Does that mean lots of I/O? Or some bad coding?
Thanks,
Libo

Advice on compiling R using Intel Compilers? Btw: -c99 is deprecated
I'm compiling the latest stable build (2.7.0) from source using the
Intel Compilers, following the hints in the R-admin guide.
I'm using OpenSUSE 10.3 on a Intel Q6600 system. First let me explain
a few things I did:
1: Download & Install all the Intel Compilers (as well as the Intel
Math Kernel Library) (All defaults)
2: Set up my environment variables in profile.d, using the handy

Difference btw. Dovecot Director and Dovecot Proxy
Hello,
For a few days I try to understand what program (Dovecot Director or
Dovecot Proxy) I should use for my email architecture.
We are a hospital, and for security reasons, we must host ourselves our
emails, and we must leave Google Apps...
I wish to make a Dovecot backend for each department of the hospital.
Each backend Dovecot has a local storage.

Samba 2.0.7 & WinME; And Samba 2.2.0alpha2 Q.
I am running Samba 2.0.7, on a Slackware 7.1 system administers. Also on
the network is a Windows ME system.
In viewing "My Network Places" (Network Neighborhood), I can view the
WinME system, and I can see the workgroup that the Samba system belongs
to. However, I cannot see anything inside the workgroup, and receive the

Why WinME/XP boot disk doesn't work with MEMDISK
It appears that the WinME/XP DOS boot disk links code into the INT 15h
AH=87h "mover" function which crashes the system DELIBERATELY (it puts
the system in a cli/hlt/jmp loop.) I first thought it was specific to
MEMDISK, but it's not; calling this function under just about any
circumstances from within this version of DOS seems to crash the system
hard. It's possible

WinME
Hi,
Is there any way to run win32 applications emulating winME.
I'm talking about the ie6 setup tool. (I can't connect to the internet under
windows).
I'm running wine-010623-stripped from daily wine and am using glibc 2.1.3
on a Redhat 6.2 system.
Cheers

WinME, Win2000: status
Hi all
Some time ago I asked about support of WinME and Win2000. The answer
was: not ready yet.
These days, when people enjoy VSS under Linux, I have to admit I really
need wine:)
So in a word: can I use Wine with any of these OSes? Could anyone please
point me out to the settings I need in my config file (I am especially
interested in Profile option)?
Thanks in advance

Getting unwanted GetProcessWindowStation (void): stub emulating winME
Hi,
I would launch Internet Explorer 5.
My command line is :
wine --winver winme iexplore.exe
Although that the fonction is marked unsupported under
Win9X/ME in the doc,
i'm getting unwanted messages reporting that this
function is a stub (should return NULL under
Win9X/ME).
How could I fix these ?
Thx for help

Spaces in WinME Directory Names
Hello!
I've finally gotten Samba and WinME to connect and see each other.
On my WinME box I've got the usual My Documents folder which I'd like my Linux
box to be able to use.
I think there's a problem with the space in the directory name.
