I am running Samba 2.0.7, on a Slackware 7.1 system administers. Also on the network is a Windows ME system. In viewing "My Network Places" (Network Neighborhood), I can view the WinME system, and I can see the workgroup that the Samba system belongs to. However, I cannot see anything inside the workgroup, and receive the following error message: "Anime is not accessible. Windows cannot find the computer or share name. Make sure the computer or share name is valid and that you are connected to the network, and then try again." Samba's workgroup is Anime and the machine name is Chungin. What are the possible causes? Is this an issue with 2.0.7? I am willing to upgrade and use 2.2.0alpha2, but the linux system works as a firewall between my private network and a larger network and I want to install the nbfw (NetBios-ForWarding) version when I can get it on the system. Will 2.2.0alpha2 forward the NetBIOS packets needed for the larger network to the smaller network like the 2.0.7-nbfw version claims to? Thanks in advance, Benjamen R. Meyer Witness
