Samba on OpenBSD 3.1
I have installed samba on openbsd 3.1 with a pkg_add and everything went
fine but for some reason it seems as if the executable to start samba is not
there, what am I missing here is the install docs I followed but still can't
get it started. Smbd and nmbd is under /usr/local/libexec but samba will not
start.

RE: Samba-3.0.0 on OpenBSD-3.4
It Lives!
I dl'd the current contents of:
pserver.samba.org/pub/unpacked/samba_3_0/source
ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/i386
Upgraded my obsd34 box;
Samba compiled, loaded, joined the Domain, and testparm'd okay.
I don't know if the problem was the samba source or OpenBSD's code.
Don't really care, as long as it's up.
Here's my configure mods...I put it in

union_lookup panic ...
G'day ...
Altho it is rare, we are getting union_lookup panics on our server(s)
... as most on this list already know, we make heavy use of unionfs to
share between jails, and I already know that this is the "kernel side"
cause of the problem ... but ...
From what I can tell, though, the "trigger" for the panic is pkg_delete
... if I build a jail'd environment,

to install with the following:

===> openssh-3.6.1_5 conflicts with installed package(s):
ssh2-3.2.9.1_1
They install files into the same place.
Please remove them first with pkg_delete(1).

Share authentication problem
Hi Rowland,
Thank you very much for your help! The main problem was fixed today -
and i have to apologize for bothering sambalist because it was an
error40 (40cm in front of the PC). In my test enviroment, there was
still an old, non-existing SID on the domdata share, however - after
deleting the access permissions in Windows and adding new, everything
goes fine now. I answered your

Share authentication problem
Hi @ll !
I am trying to set up a samba fileserver in SuSe 42.3 as domain member
in a debian based Samba4 AD. The join seems to be ok, as I can get
/wbinfo -u/ and /-g/, and /getent group/ and /passwd/.
I can also list all browsable shares with /smbclient -L \\SambaFS
-Uusername/, but when i add -k, I get following errors :
/SPNEGO(gse_krb5) creating NEG_TOKEN_INIT for cifs/Samba1 failed
