fax server functionality on Asterisk
List,
how can I put fax server functionality on Asterisk? * as a reliable fax
server for 500-1000 fax/day (mostly incoming)? Fax server should be like
HylaFax, i.e. stable, low maintenance and functionality like receiving
fax as email with PDF attachment, sending faxes per WHFC.
Faxing with spandsp using bri_stuff (BeroNet/Junghanns quadBRI ISDN
cards) shortens some faxes, or faxes loose lines,

Sambafax - which windows PS driver works? & other options?
Hi All,
I have a nicely working samba/cups print server working and have sambafax
http://www.purpel3.com/sambafax/ installed and working to a certain extent.
The problem i have is that no matter what post script driver I use on the
windows end, the ps2ascii line in the sambafax cups backend scripts seems to
not be able to change back to the original readable text and thus fails

Hardware advice please?
I am quite new to Linux and have moved (almost) from a windoze
NT4 environment.
My present configuration is running SuSE V 8.0 with KDE3.0.5
desktop on two machines, connecting with Samba to an NT4 PC,
and an occasional laptop or other PC that connects locally to the
network.
After a deal of searching, researching, and seeking advice I have
decided to use Shorewall as my firewall.

call files, fax
Hello,
I have a couple of questions:
1) Before heading off for a bit of vacation, I was having a wierd
problem where I was getting more than one call per callfile placed in
the outgoing/ spool. I describe it here:
http://forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php?t=3455
so far, so good - it's not doing it right now, but what might cause that?
2) app_txfax
I need to know if a fax has gone through

samba-3.0.0-rc4 and Domain Admins
Hi!
I am experiencing problems adding a user (e.g. smbadmin) to the "Domain
Admins" group on my samba-PDC using the ldapsam backend.
When I add "Domain Admins" as a supplementary group, the Windows 2000
client doesn't treat smbadmin as an admin. However, using "Domain

[Bug 7120] Variable bandwidth limit .. bwlimit
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7120
--- Comment #7 from roland <devzero at web.de> ---
please mind the note from this posting when using pv:
http://superuser.com/questions/778066/using-pv1-to-limit-rsync-speed
--snipp--
It seems that pv is waiting for data from rsync, and rsync is waiting for data
too (stuck in select()) and not closing the input to pv. So it's a deadlock.

New user - Issue using Generic::Mkuser in the ghoneycutt/generic module.
I''m trying to automatically create users as a requirement for ssh keys
to work. Here is my issue. I am getting this error from the agent. The
SSH part works fine, but it will not create the user due to a
dependency issue. I do not know how to debug this.

t38 iax trunk
Hi all,
I have a question regarding using T38 for fax sending and here is my scenario:
fax -> SIP ATA (T38 enabled) -> Asterisk #1 -> IAX TRUNK -> Asterisk #2 -> SIP ATA (T38 enabled) -> fax
My question is, how can I know if I'm really using T38? is T38 information coming to the other side (because of SIP to IAX conversion) or just plain g711a data?
I'm using Linksys
