BJC-2100 printer not printing correctly
First, thanks for the great work done on Centos 4.1. Recently installed on two systems that previously were running Windows 98 and Windows ME. (The user of the Windows ME system has no problems so far.) I was very surprised when Centos 4.1 recognized and automatically configured the BJC-2100 printer connected to the USB port during install. The only problem encountered so far is poor

Unable to access shares on a Linux Samba server
Hello everyone, I did alot of searching before I came to post here, but have failed to come up with a reason why this isn't working. I may just be missing a major step. First, let me get the formailities out of the way. trouble adding share with restrictions
I am printing from linux to a printer attached to a win98 computer. I send a text file directly to the printer such as 'lpr -P BJC <file.txt>', the printer prints all the text as it should then fails to eject the last page and then goes off line. When I push the online button, it ejects the page and then is ready again. I am using a Cannon BJC4304. This printer supposedly can

Your post on Samba mailing list
Sorry, I guess I should have been more specific, I am printing from linux to a printer attached to a win98 computer. When I say text I mean when I send a text file directly to the printer such as 'lpr -P BJC <file.txt>'. When I say 'hang' what I mean is that the printer prints all the text as it should then fails to eject the last page and then goes off line. When I push

Printing via smbclient to Windows BJC-2100 printer
I've seen variations on this problem in the past but they haven't seemed to help much in this instance. I have Samba running on a NetBSD(sparc) and would like to set it up to print to a Canon BJC-2100 running on a networked Windows ME machine. (My sparc box lacks a 'standard' parallel interface and I lack an adapter). I can print just fine to the printer from a second Windows

samba, ncurses, and sysV printing?
Dear SAMBA Group, I've playing around with getting SAMBA to do things for me. I have an Ultra-1 running Solaris 2.6 and a Win-XP system with a Canon BJC-2000 printer attached to it. I'm trying to get the SUN to print to the printer on the XP box. I have followed various instructions but now when I print as "root" with "lp -d bjc <file>" I get an email message

Grandstream GXP2160 + SRTP
Hello, I am trying to setup a Grandstream GXP2160 IP-phone with secure calling (SRTP). Secure signaling SSIP for registration is working great ! I follow this guide : https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Secure+Calling+Tutorial But when I try to make a call with SRTP, I get stuck. There is an initial INVITE which is anwered with a 401. There should follow a new INVITE with a nonce,

Printing NT to Linux w\Cannon bjc-4000
I am able to see my printer as a share. Well better put, I see four representations of my printer: ascii, lp2, lp-mono, and raw. I tried the naive thing and just selected lp2 and added the cannon bjc 4000 driver for NT. This didn't work. I get an error report: %%[ Error: undefined; offending Command: K ]%% . . . a bunch of strings that I don't understand. This does not look like the

Backing up mail?
My mail server is running on a Fedora FC5 box. I need to move the mail server to another computer and so I need to back up my user's mail and move it. I have found mail in /var/spoo/mail/[users] and in their home directories there is a 'mail' directory. All users have an 'Inbox' file that is empty and I think the one IMAP user has a 'Trash' file that is huge!

Hi All, I am new to post question on this list. I apologize if this question is too easy or irrelevant. I am doing a simulation study and I need to read a data file that can be easily read by SAS. So, what I try to do is to execute SAS in R and then read the output of SAS to R. I try the following code but it didn't work. system("c:\\program files\\sas institute\\v8\\sas.exe

Is Samba 2.2.4 stable & error free
Hi, I am planning on upgrading our Samba servers to a more current version (presently we have 2.0.6) Just wondering if 2.2.4 is the best version to implement, or if an earlier version would be more stable, e.g. 2.2.3a I ask this question because I've seen a few messages on the mailing lists suggesting errors in 2.2.4, but don't know if these are real errors or just people with a bad

Kerb5 Support?
Hey, I just subscribed to this list, so apologies in advance if this has been asked already (although I haven't found mention in the archives after a cursory search). I notice that there's no Kerb5 support in 2.3.0p1. Is anyone working on getting support in there for v1 and v2 connections, or is this something I'm going to have to do myself? Also, I've just

Printing via Samba
I'm trying to print to a shared printer on my Windows 98 SE box from my linux box. I've configured it via Webmin and I can mount my home directory on linux from Windows (using samba) and vice versa... But I can't seem to configure printing properly... I've got a Canon BJC-1000 on my Windows box and Webmin seems to think it SHOULD be printable.... *sigh* I've tried all three
