GRUB Timeout problem
I recently installed CentOS 5.1 on a DL71 ASI notebook.
After my yum update the timeout parameter in /boot/grub/grub.conf file
has no effect. It sits at the grub screen forever unless I press the
enter key to select a kernel, at which point it will boot.
Any help or suggestions to fix this would be much appreciated

Total response file count limited to 21
Actually, sorry, my fix was for the case where you had other arguments beginning with @ that weren't response files, whereas yours has actual response files, so my patch won't help there. CCing Reid and Hans, who did a bunch of the implementation in this area.

Total response file count limited to 21
IMO, a limit of at most 20 nested response files would make a lot more
sense than 20 total response files. I don't think the total should really
have a limit at all.
Since we expand the files in place while iterating over the arglist, we'd
need to keep a separate array listing the end-offset of each file we're
currently nested within, and update the offsets with every expansion of

[LLVMdev] Assert in live update from MI scheduler.
Ok, after a long detour I am back to where I have started. I think there is
a problem at dep DAG construction. Let me try to convince you.
Here is the C code we are dealing with:
push ()
{
struct xx_stack *stack, *top;
for (stack = xx_stack; stack; stack = stack->next)
top = stack;
yy_instr = top->first;
}
If the loop never iterates, "top" will have

Cisco 7960 Message Light on multiple phones
Here is what I am attempting to do (which works well on Cisco Call
Manger). I have some 7960's that have multiple lines on them. The
second line specifically is a "helpdesk" line that is shared among
multiple phones. Here is how I am making that line ring on multiple
phones, maybe you have other suggestions:

Sergei,
Absolutely right, the copy/ldriw should not be reordered. I was attempting to explain that I consider it a phi-elimination bug, not a DAG builder bug. Liveness will also have problems with this code in the long run.
To avoid confusion, I filed PR13112: Phi elimination generates uninitialized vreg uses, and disabled the SSA check until its fixes in r158461.
However, your C code is also

deleting partition does not effect superblock?
Hi,
I am using kernel 2.6.15.4.
On my system, I first created a partition with EXT3 and put some data
on it. Later, I deleted the partition, and re-created another
partition with the same starting block number and a higher ending
block number. I intended to format it with another filesystem, but
surprisingly (or maybe just to me), the superblock of the partition
had not changed. I could still

Trouble with drplot
Hi, I am a newbie with R, so I hope my question isn't too stupid. I am trying to generate dose-response curves using the "drfit" package. I have formatted my CSV files to the correct format, and have no trouble running drfit to get a summary of my data. The problem is that when I try to use "drplot" to graph my data I get an error. The message is:

rsynch related question
Hello,
I had a question on rsynch'ing, please do help me on this,
I have scenario where,I need to synch the two softwares, where both
the software are across the network, on different cells( AFS cells).
For ex: first1 - /afs/tr/software , second1 - /afs/ddc/software
Both the softwares are same & fist1 cell will be constantly
updating and I need to synch this

Andy,
You are probably right here - look at this - before phi elimination this
code looks much more sane:
# *** IR Dump After Live Variable Analysis ***:
# Machine code for function push: SSA
Function Live Outs: %R0
BB#0: derived from LLVM BB %entry
%vreg5<def> = IMPLICIT_DEF; IntRegs:%vreg5
%vreg4<def> = TFRI_V4 <ga:@xx_stack>; IntRegs:%vreg4

Interesting behavior of lm() with small, problematic data sets
I've recently come across the following results reported from the lm() function when applied to a particular type of admittedly difficult data. When working with
small data sets (for instance 3 points) with the same response for different predicting variable, the resulting slope estimate is a reasonable approximation of the expected 0.0, but the p-value of that slope estimate is a surprising

Presenting a grouped list of objects from STI
Hello,
I have been following the STI example in AWDWR and have a question about
presenting the output.
I want to output a list of Person objects that are grouped by their
type.
I have an array of all the Person objects and I would like the output to
be as follows.
Employee x3
<ul>
<li>Employee 1</li>
<li>Employee 2</li>
<li>Employee 3</li>

Confusion over syntax in a package
Hello,
I am new to R and I am attempting to use the ProbForecastGOP package
for some research I am conducting.
The package works fine when I call the functions from the command line
as the examples instruct.
However, I am attempting to step through some of the functions so that
I can obtain a better idea of what is going on. I have come to the

STI, controllers and views
Hello,
I have set up that uses single table inheritance. I have a number of
model subclasses following the example in AWDWR that uses Manager <
Employee < Person.
First question. Do I need to create controller classes for each? I
don''t think I do because a single controller should be able to shunt the
data between the models and the views.
Second question. Say I have a view

EXT3 Superblock Recovery
hello.
had a bad day yesterday: accidentally, the first 0.5% to 1% of my ext3 partition got overwritten, can't gauge it more exactly. Geography of the partition is:
size ~100 GB.
block size should be 4096.
=> deleted are averages to 500mb - 1gb still.
I don't think it is relevant, but the device itself is /dev/loop0, because there is a cryptoloop layer between the device and the
