Code works standalone, yet same code fails when part of package
Hi
I'm missing something here but I cannot figure out what. What I can see is that the same code works when I load it via source(...) yet fails when I execute it after loading the package I have built (which includes the code.

Newbe
My name is Gert Jensen and I am a newbe to Samba.
I have tried installing it a few time and have run into the same problem no
matter how I try to get the management module to load.
Can someone on the list give me instructions or send me to a site where
there are explicit instructions on how to set up SWAP with the latest
version of Sambe and Red Hat 7.3.

cron and name with ''.''
I dont know if i am missleaded but it seems to me that the cron type
does not accept names with a ''.'' in it ? I tried to add a cron with a
name cron1-$domainename and it does not accept it. If i remove the ''.''
in the domain it work. I am using .22.3 anyone seeing the same behavior
? If yes i will fill it as a bug.

vsifax on Centos 5.1
All....
I am trying to install vsifax on a 64 bit Centos 5.1 system. The Esker
staff have been helpful but no cigar.
At first they thought the problem might be related to a 64 bit machine
so I tried to install vsifax on a 32 bit Centos 5.1 machine and received
the same error.
One of their installation scripts is trying to execute a binary called
eula which fails.

After our services do now successfully restart, we hit now the already
opened bug where the restarted service takes over puppetd port if it''s
configured to listen.
One solution is to remove the listen option but it''s very nice to invoke a

CentOS 4.4-IBM Netvista Performace Problems, help needed.
I've got an odd situation that I need some advise on. I have two

I have a functional samba/windind file server (SLES 10) thats a member server of an Active Directory domain. I'm able to successfully resolve user and group accounts from AD. how to eliminate first row in datafile created in do loop
I am trying to create a routine that would take a time series and
generate monthly 25%tile and 75%tile limits based on 12 calendar months.
I have succeeded to create a do loop to do this, but can't figure out
how to initiate the receiving datafile (in this case "limit.list")

getting Centos on "used" rackable systems 1U with dual Opteron 248 HE
hi there.
anyone have any tips on params to pass to the kernel etc in order to install
Centos4 or Centos5 32bit or 64 bit installed on this unit
i can get it close to install, yet no cigar.
it is a tyan MB and ill try to get more info if needed...
for this case, please assume for now that the hardware itself is not "bad"

HTTP validation regexp, possible solution

expressions and tweaked them a bit to the point where I think they

AIX and zlib
I noticed that AIX now comes with a version of zlib installed in /usr. (I'm
working on 5.2)
My first inclination was to simply uninstall it and use the one we compile
(and put in /usr/local).
However, IBM has made zlib part of the RPM package itself!
So, I cannot uninstall it without removing RPM....
Next, I tried passing --with-zlib=/usr/local to configure for ssh.
