How to determine Ext2/3 FileSystem state ?
hi all, I intend to write a snapshot module for Ext2/3 file-systems. For that i need to make sure that FS is in consistent state before taking snapshot. For ex. in case of UFS, the superblock has a fs_clean flag which is set to be FSSTABLE to tell that its in consistent state. (otherwise its set to FSACTIVE) I m not able to find any such information for Ext2/Ext3. (The

Isolating Gluster volumes with a firewall (amazon security groups)
Hi All, I am looking to utilize gluster on amazon aws for shared storage among web servers (Elastic Beanstalk). However, since I plan on using the gluster tier for numerous different beanstalk environments, I'd like to isolate the systems from accessing each others data. Since Beanstalk uses dynamic IP addresses, I can't utilize the built in auth.allow and auth.reject in gluster to

OpenSSH 5.1 not *passing* escape sequences. [PASS:VAXman]
OpenSSH 5.1p1 was just installed on Linux machines here. It appears that escape sequences are not being passed to the underlying terminal for in- terpretation and control. I am now seeing \033[H and \033[2J. This will not bode well for users expecting classic escape sequences to be painting and controlling their terminal screens. Is there a magical incantation to restore proper behavior? Or

Port problem
Hi All, I have an equipment loaded with 4 X100P (numbered 1-4)) and one T400P (numbered 5-8). Everything works fine except that I cannot use one of the FXS ports (number 5). If I configure zapata.conf to recognize it, the whole system voice quality suffers. I've tried already to switch PCI slots, with no results. Below is a snapshot of my /proc/interrupts, maybe this can shed some light on

[PATCH 1/1 v2] Add UFS1/2 support to Extlinux installer.
It's needed to enumerate both UFS1/2 since they have different magic numbers and super block offsets. Besides, UFS2 can be installed in the 0-64k range like BTRFS, whereas UFS1 can't. UFS2 has no cow feature unlike BTRFS. Signed-off-by: Raphael S.Carvalho <raphael.scarv at gmail.com> --- extlinux/main.c | 79 ++++++++++--- extlinux/ufs.h | 26 ++++
