Leopard Macs using Kerberos: Failed to parse negTokenTarg
I think I've found out why MacOS 10.5.x (Leopard) clients are unable to
connect to Samba shares when authenticating with Kerberos. Basically,
the
Leopard Macs insert a few extra bytes (Padding and reqFlags,
according to
wireshark) into the security blob within the Session Setup AndX Request
packet, bytes whose start tag is 0xa1, in a spot where Samba's parser
expects 0xa2. The critical

Home LAN server - dnsmasq
Hello all,
I'm testing a home LAN server inside Virtualbox - figured it'd be easier
to build (and fix) things inside a virtual sandbox first, and then
migrate over to a physical install once I have most of the kinks worked
out. The host OS is Windows Vista; the guest OS will be various Linux
distributions for education/entertainment purposes.
First, a little explanation on the

Proxy ARP working from Internet but not from fw and loc
Hello everybody.
I could not find an answer to my problem in the archive. (But that may just
be me :-) )
I have a problem with proxy arp and connection from loc (localnet) and from
the firewall.
Works fine from internet to dmz / proxy arp and vise versa.
I have a feeling the solution is simple, but I''m no guru in Linux routing
etc.
The problem seems to be the routing setup.

I can`t send DTMFs through FXO lines - dahdi
Hi,
I've just installed DAHDI at two PBXs as follows:
*PBX-1 PBX-2*
FXO ------------- FXS
When I try to send calls from PBX-1 to PBX-2 I just receive the message:
"Starting simple switch on 'DAHDI/1-1"
It seems like if PBX-1 couldn't send DTMFs, but when I set immediate=yes at
chan_dahdi.conf at PBX-2 dialplan is executed at PBX-2 but nothing is heard

About maxlen parameter in queues
Dear list,
I want to avoid sending calls to a queue when it is full. From the fact that
'maxlen' must be at least 1 (I wish it could be zero but it isn't) I'd like
to know if there's a way to do it. Setting the Queue() timeout to a little
value is not the most suitable option.
I'm using asterisk 1.4.21 but I don't know if there are some options
available on release 1.8

Incoming call doesn't finish when internal phone hangs up
Hello guys,
I have this problem when a call is received in my PBX:
(Caller) --> (Redirecting Service) --> (E1 PRI) --> (Asterisk PBX) -->
(Internal Phone)
Reception works fine, but when conversation finishes and the agent at
internal phone hangs up, the call at caller's side is still alive for
many seconds until it hangs up.
The problem is that Telephone Company is billing me

Slow access when opening shares
Hey,
I have slow access when I first open shares. If I reboot my XP box and then
go to access a share, it takes a good 10 seconds for files to come up, even
after I've typed in my username and password. Once accessed it runs fine and
is fast. But, if I don't access it for 30 minutes, when I access it again it
sits for like 10 good seconds before it does anything. This is very
annoying.

Log shows NT4 for an ADS domain
I'm trying to learn about the interactions between SAMBA and win2k DCs. The
eventual goal is to have a Win2k server with ADS working with a freeBSD
SAMBA server. I've used the setup from
http://oslabs.mikro-net.com/fbsd_samba.html as the basis for what I've done
so far. Winbind seems to work and I can show users and groups using wbinfo
although I see some things in the logs that I

Automatically inferring %d on multi-domain virtual install ?
Hi,
I'm trying to allow domain-less logins for a multi-domain virtual IMAP
server, and wondering if I can automatically infer the domain (value of
variable %d) from the local IP (%l) or the hostname used by the client
when connecting to my server.
Let's say I have two host names: mail.foo.org (10.0.0.100) and
mail.bar.com (10.0.0.200), with forward and reverse DNS configured to
resolve A

Automatically inferring %d on multi-domain virtual install ?
very intrigued by your solution Timo, have attempted something similar in
the past to no avail.
When I tried I was unable to retain the user at domain when setting the domain
as extra field - protected is new to me and can't find documentation - but
also doesn't work :(
# cat passwd.domains
10.100.1.1:::::::domain:protected=foo.org
10.100.1.2:::::::domain:protected=bar.org
# cat
