Problems Using the MultipleUsersOnConnection Registry Key in WTS NT4
Hi. I am running SAMBA 2.0.7 on HP-UX 11.00 and HP-UX 10.20. I have tried adding the MultipleUsersOnConnection registry key onto my Microsoft Windows NT Server 4 Terminal Server Edition servers, running with Service Pack 6. After I make this change in the registry and reboot my WTS servers all my samba connections from the servers are still being made with one process instead of being split

SAMBA 3.0 on HPUX as an ADS Domain Member
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has tried setting up any of the Samba 3.0, alpha or beta versions, as an ADS domain member from HPUX 11.0 or 11i? Is it possible to use the Kerberos and LDAP libraries from the HP application CD's or do we have to download the MIT and OpenLDAP libraries? Thanks in advance.

Samba & Terminal Services / Citrix
Hello! I have heard that there is a problem with using Samba along with Windows Terminal Services and that it's related to session IDs with multiple users coming from one server. I'm in the process of moving to Windows Server 2003 using Citrix and hoping to be able to revive our samba use. Has anyone had any success with using samba in a Terminal Server / Citrix environment? Thanks

newbie desperate for help
I just installed Samba for the first time. Installed and setup like a dream. Unfortunately, I can't login to save my life. The server appears in the Net. Neighborhood, but when I double-click to login, the login window give the following message: Incorrect password or unknown username for \\SERVERNAME Entering a username and password (from /etc/passwd) returns: \\SERVERNAME is not

SMBMount and backup application
I would like some advice. I am considering the best way to restructure my backup scheme on my NT network. I would like to see if it would be possible/feasible to use cron, smbmount, some SCSI tape drives, and some type of archive tool to backup my NT shares to a RedHat box using Samba. What do all of you do out there? I would envision a situation where each night a script is run by cron that

cygwin rsync hang under Windows Terminal Services session
Hi, though the list would be interested to know an issue we have just come across. We have found that rsync version 2.5.6 over ssh within a cygwin environment run manually from either a command prompt or a cygwin prompt hangs every time if we run it in a Windows Terminal Server session. It doesn't seem to matter what the remote server is as we have experienced this when the remote server is

Running R on Windows 2000 Terminal Services
Dear list, My employer uses a Windows 2000 Terminal Server-based system for its college-wide managed computer service - computers connect directly to the WTS servers for their sessions, using a Citrix ICA client. When I asked them to install R (Windows) on an older version of this service the IT guys installed it but pulled it for performance issues. I am trying to get them to try again but

citrix stores addition information into SAM on pdc
hi, we want to replace our nt4 pdc/bdc with samba and we use windows nt4 terminal servers with citrix in our environment. as far as i know, we will get a problem here. (extensiver reading of the mailing list led me to this conclusion) regarding: http://ma.ph-freiburg.de/tng/tng-users/2001-05/msg00224.html >Terminal Server has its own User Manager (which has an extra button -

Arguments to lm() within a function - object not found
Hi all, I'm having some difficulty passing arguments into lm() from within a function, and I was hoping someone wiser in the ways of R could tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have the following: lmwrap <- function(...) { wts <- somefunction() print(wts) # This works, wts has the values I expect fit <- lm(weights=wts,...) return(fit) } If I call my function lmwrap, I get

Remove single entries
Dear Community, I have a data set with two columns, bird number and mass. Individual birds were captured 1-13 times and weighed each time. I would like to remove those individuals that were captured only once, so that I can assess mass variability per bird. I¹ve tried many approaches with no success. Can anyone recommend a way to remove individuals that were captured only once? Thanks, Ray

Samba 2.0.3 and NT Terminal Server SP4/MetaFrame 1.8
I'm running NT 4.0 Terminal Server (Service Pack 4) with Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 on a PC, and Samba 2.0.3 on an HP-UX box. We've been having occasional problems with files not saving correctly, and also with files not unzipping or copying correctly. I suspect it's some sort of incompatibility between Samba and Terminal Server/Metaframe and/or SP4. For

Terminal Server entries in SambaPDC
Hello, is it possible to modify Terminal Server entries like 'Terminal Server Profile Path' and 'Terminal Server Home Directory' with 'pdbedit'? In case of 'yes', idd like to know the syntax. In case of 'no', can it be done otherwise (except for the usermanager in Windows)? Thanks in advance, Frank van Kruijl

security=domain and Citrix MetaFrame on W2K was Windows 2000Terminal Server and Samba
Does this work for: security = domain situations? Do you have to do anything special with regard to joining the domain. >>> <Drew.Zeller@statcan.ca> 11/27/02 09:16AM >>> I saw your postings and thought I would through in my two cents for the Windows 2000 Terminal Server and Samba. Formula aruguments with NLS and model.frame()
I could use some help understanding how nls parses the formula argument to a model.frame and estimates the model. I am trying to utilize the functionality of the nls formula argument to modify garchFit() to handle other variables in the mean equation besides just an arma(u,v) specification. My nonlinear model is y<-nls(t~a*sin(w*2*pi/365*id+p)+b*id+int,data=t1,
