Howto enlarge fonts size in R- Graphics?
Hi, I am fairly new to GNU R ! At the moment I am doing an intensive learning on the basics of GNU R-1.91, especially graphics like plots and alike, by reading the introductory docs! Well, except some occasional glitches (X11 output errors) everything seems to be fine, thanks to developers for this fine program! But there is a slight problem with the size of fonts in graphics, i.e. its very

How do I resize a Physical Partition in a Dom U that''s "on" a Logical Volume in the Dom 0?
Hey all, I''m trying to figure out how to re-size physical partitions in the Dom U. I''ve read up what I can find on line and finally decided to have Logical Volumes in the Dom 0 and pass them as physical volumes for use in the Dom U. Here''s an example of what I''m doing. To start in the Dom 0 I created the LV''s with lvcreate -n guest_boot -L 100M

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: enlarge GART aperture
This patch enlarges the PCI GART aperture to 512 MB. The current 64MB aperture is too small and should be enlarged. The optimal amound may be card/system-dependent, so a more sophisticated approach may be preferable. In particular, if RAMIN is less than 1MB, a 512MB aperture won't fit. Poor performance with openldap 2.3.x (Berkeley DB 4.3 or 4.4) on XEN 3.0.x
Dear all, With or without /lib/tls librairies activated, A search in openldap is very slow on XEN 3.0.x . Cpus do nothing . 15000 entries are dumped in 2 minutes whereas same search without xen are dumped in 4 seconds (with far more activitie on CPUs) I have already see one or mail about this problem .  But I don''t see a solution , perhaps a threading problem between Berkeley DB and

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: enlarge GART aperture (v2)
Changes in v2: - Compute size based on ramin_rsvd_size This patch enlarges the PCI GART aperture to 512 MB, or the space covered by a DMA object filling half RAMIN. The current 64MB aperture is too small and should be enlarged. The optimal amound may be card/system-dependent, so a more sophisticated approach may be preferable. Could anyone with an nv04 test whether this doesn't break there?

enlarging partition and its filesystem
Hi all! I've got a VM at work running C6 on HyperV (no, its not my fault, that's what the company uses. I'd rather gag myself than own one of th ose things.) I ran out of disk space in the VM, so the admin enlarged the virtual disk. but now I realize I don't know how to enlarge the partition and its filesystem. I'll be googling, but in case I miss it, it'd be great if

Centosplus & CentOS Extras, Enlarge your tent
I think Jim (the other one) is doing a marvellous job with extras and plus but he needs to expand the size of his tent. A sensible package policy in extras/plus repo will mean fewer temptations to install 3rd party repo's that can break your system. Some of the packages i would like to see are :- - MySQL 5 rpms - php 5 rpms (already provided) - Open Office 2.0 rpms - webmin - rkhunter -

testing instance variables that are set inside views
Hi all, In my view specs (for Rails), how can I get at instance variables that are set within my view? For example, if my view looks like this: <% @header = "My Header" -%> <div>some content</div> How can I get to @header from within my view spec? I''ve tried @header and assigns[:header] to no avail. Large subjects increase memory-usage and enlarge index-files
Several times we already had the problems, that accounts with more the 1.3 or 1.7 billion e-mails in one folder run out-of-memory, even if vsize_limit of 750 MB is set. In this case, the lmtpd-process haven't been able to allocate more memory to read/write/update the index-files and crashed (and the index-files become corrupted at the end.) [Please -- don't discuss about the need of

large fonts on plots
Hi all, I need to enlarge te fonts used oo R-plots (plots, histograms, ...) in labels and titles etc. I seem to be unable to figure out how to do it. The problem is that the titles of the plots are simply unreadable when I insert them into my LaTeX text, since they are relatively small compared to the entire plot. I am sure it is pretty simple, can anybody give me a hint ? Please reply

Regions of significance plots with ggplot2
I'd like to create a plot similar to this one from Kochanska et al. Resizing a PV that belongs within a Volume Group?
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to extend (ie: grow) a PV that is part of a Volume Group? I currently have a partition on my HD that is being used as a PV for my Volume Group, but would like to make it larger. I have the space on my drive to extend my partition, but using standard tools (ex: gparted, Partition Magic, etc) would likely end up corrupting the data on in the Logical Volumes
