Hello, I have a problem to build the samba_3.0 sources for sol9 , i am running gcc-3.3. It works , but the binaries became huge , the samba.pkg is about 450 MB . Now my question; do i need any compiler flags ? i did it with default-settings. Hi, Addition to my message below.. Computers which doesnt login to the domain controller at startup like windows xp home ed. , dont seem to have this effect. It seems that you have to keep the connection up and running on the xp profi pc's to stop this problem from happening. ??? Dear All I'm about migrating Samba 2.2.8 to 3.0.13 on Sparc, Solaris 8. Compilation and Installation without any problem. Runs fine with exception of 2.2.8-user validation in the domain (no problems with validation of WXP- and W2K-Client Machines, newly set users (./smbpasswd -a username) works perfectly ). I simply have copied smbpasswd 2.2.8 to the diferent directory of Samba 3.0.13.
