Hi. I want to use ACL on my RH-9.0 box (x86), so I got ext3 ACL patch from http://acl.bestbits.at/ and tried to apply it to the kernel that ships with RH (2.4.20-8). The patching fails on some vm file so I got a vanila kernel 2.4.20, apply the patch and compile it. This works fine. Also RH-9.0 precompiled Samba 2.2.7 works fine with ACL. I earlier this week upgraded from Debian woody to sarge on a machine that does a nightly backup to another machine via a samba share. Since then I have had some issues with accessing that share with I believe are a result of the upgrade. I upgraded the kernel at the same time to 2.4.27-1-686 #1 via apt-get, which might be the related to the problem. Smbfs is version 3.0.6-3

Hi, When an mbox has a filename with a period, the Dovecot 1.0.1 convert plugin will endlessly convert the same mbox causing duplicate messages. To reproduce, create try converting two mboxes: one with a valid name and another with an invalid name. Then, repeat the login procedure a few times. Dovecot should do something more graceful such as replacing periods with another character.

Hello ! I am using samba 3 with acl support and when I use the "hide unreadable" option, it only take the unix right. Even if they have read or write access given by acls, people have to be the owner of a directory to see it. I don't know if it's realy a bug or if i'm not using it the right way, i simply add it to a share definition. Thanks in advance ! Eric Guimont
