Hi, I am trying to map solaris5.7 drectory to a win32PC using "file managaer". Do i need samba on the solaris side as well as the pc side?. How do i do this?. Hi, I have a small lan. solaris 2.7, 2.5 and a PCwin3.11. I am trying from the file manager in the pcwin3.1 to map solaris 2.7 to "k:". At the pcwin3.11 i get: "enter network password". I have a pcwin3.11. I was mapping solaris 2.5 with samba2.0.5 fine. I added the solaris2.7 system with samba2.0.7 to this small lan. Actaully this solaris 2.7 box was another 2.5 box that I upgraded it. Hi; We've recently upgraded from Samba 1.7 to Samba 2.2.8 and we're using Samba to allow our users to connect to their Unix home directories from their PC's. Under 1.7 users were able to connect by mapping a drive from windows explorer and entering their unix username and password.
