2.2.0 Alpha2 and print drivers
I began playing around with 2.2.0a2 yesterday. The text docs have
instructions for setting up the "print$" share and installing drivers for
client download. This involves browsing to the samba share from a W2K or NT
server, accessing the "printers" folder, and right clicking on each printer
to install drivers.
I've managed to get W2K/NT and Win98/95 drivers

Printer shares will not work - 2.0.7
First allow me to issue this disclaimer... The following problem is most
likely due to my own ignorance. Now on to the problem...
I'm setting up some printer shares that allow automatic driver installation
to Win 9x clients [printer$]. When we try to use these, the drivers install
beautifully, but we get the following error message when we try to print:

Samba 2.2 print driver setup
Jeremy,
Will there be any methodology available in 2.2 for installing print drivers
without browsing to the PRINT$ share from a W2K/NT box? I've got about 180
printers (at least 30 different models) shared and I'm encountering some
difficulties in installing drivers.
I'm using 2.2a2 in an environment with both W2K and W98 clients. One very
annoying inconsistency with W2K is making my

IMPRINTS: mkprintpkg.pl unable to expand microsoft cab file
Jerry,
Perhaps you could help me with a problem building a Samba print package.
I've downloaded the drivers files I need from HP. I run the appropriate
mkprintpkg.pl command, but it dies with the following output:

Problems with alpha3 + openssl-0.9.8
Has anybody successfully compiled alpha 3 with the newly released
openssl-0.9.8? I just wasted the weekend trying to get dovecot to
compile using the new openssl libs. Openssl-0.9.7d works like dream.
Just wanted to know if anybody had this combo working.

Orthogonal Polynomial Regression Parameter Estimation
Dear all,
Can any one tell me how can i perform Orthogonal
Polynomial Regression parameter estimation in R?
--------------------------------------------
Here is an "Orthogonal Polynomial" Regression problem
collected from Draper, Smith(1981), page 269. Note
that only value of alpha0 (intercept term) and signs
of each estimate match with the result obtained from
coef(orth.fit). What

Titles in plots overlap
Hi,
I use fCopulae package to draw different graphs of univariate and bivariate skew t. But the plots titles overlap. I tried using cex.main, font.main to adjust the size but they still overlaps. Here is my code:
par(mfrow = c(3, 1))
mu = 0
Omega = 1
alpha1 = 0
alpha2 = 1.5
alpha3 = 2
alpha4 = 0.5
Z1 = matrix(dmvst(x, 1, mu, Omega, alpha1, df = Inf), length(x))
Z2 = matrix(dmvst(x, 1, mu,

1.0 alpha3 released
I'm a bit too busy nowadays because of school so I haven't had time to
look at everyone's bug reports and some other mails. They're still
marked as unread in my mailbox, so hopefully I'll get to them soon. And
I don't mind you resend them if I don't answer in a few weeks :)
Changes:
- Fixed maildir syncing errors about wrong UIDs
- Maildir was re-read all the time,

2.2 Alpha3 - how stable is it?
Hi all,
I was wondering what the feeling was of those on this list as to how stable
this alpha is? Is it useable in a production environment for basic file
sharing of a shared database (ACT)?
The reason I am asking is I am having major file corruption issues with
Win2K clients using 2.07, and if the suggestions already made do not fix the
problem, I would be willing to try it, if it is

http://dovecot.org/releases/2.0/alpha/dovecot-2.0.alpha3.tar.gz.sig
Nothing horribly exciting since alpha2, but since I did other releases I
thought I might as well release this one too.
- Most of the stuff in master.conf is now built into binaries so the
file itself is small. dovecot -n also doesn't show the defaults anymore.

Query on multivariate time series
Hi,
Could anyone inform how to perform multi-variate auto regression using
the past 't' values for regression in R. I have looked at ARMA
provided by DES library and mvr provided by PLS library but could not
match them to my requirements.
Specifically, I want the following

Dear Spencer and Prof. Fox,
Thank you for your replies. I'll very appreciate, if you have any ideas concerning the problem described below.
First, I'd like to describe the model in brief.
In general I consider a model with three equations.
First one is for annual GRP growth - in general it looks like:
1) GRP growth per capita = G(investment, migration, initial GRP per

with index handling, now I didn't get any errors after almost 24h of
stress testing.
As a new feature userdb passwd now supports overriding some fields with
templates.

Dovecot reports zero messages erroneously
On October 11, Mark Farmer reported a problem about not being able to see new
mails. I'm running into the same issue. Even though cur/ and new/ contain
messages, Dovecot reports that there aren't any.
This problem seemed to start happening in alpha3 (and persists in alpha4).
When I revert back to alpha2, the messages show up again.
It looks like a problem with the dovecot.index*
