building on Red Hat 5.2
Hi, I'm trying to build samba 2.0.5a on Red Hat 5.2. It originally came with 1.9something, which seemed to have some bugs accessing large mounted directories. I downloaded Red Hat's updates package, but unfortunately it only comes with smbclient and smbd, and what I need is smbmount and smbumount. My binaries from my more recent systems (RH6 and OL2.2) won't run due to

Win2k Domain logons
Hi everyone. I just got a copy of Win2k in and have been messing with it. Have a question, and have searched the archives for the answer, but didn't find it. Can Win2k domain logon to a pre-3.0.0 samba server? Or di I need to get TNG running? I can get NT4.0 boxes to authenticate and login fine (Samba pre-3.0.0), but Win2k keeps complaining: "The following error occurred validating

[LLVMdev] Re: [llvm-commits] CVS: llvm/lib/AsmParser/Lexer.cpp Lexer.l
For VC++, I solved this by having bison/flex put the files into the obj directories. I also have it unconditionally regenerate the files if bison/flex is available, and copy them from src if they are not. Chris Lattner wrote: > On Wed, 11 Jan 2006, Vladimir A. No solutions come to mind. Conflicts are conflicts and must be resolved manually. This situation should only occur if you change the .l/.y file and then update the .h/.cpp files after someone else has changed the .l/.y file and regenerated the .h and .cpp. That doesn't seem like a high frequency scenario that we need to worry about. Not sure there's much we could do even if it was. Reid.

Failed building 3.0.30 for tru64 4.0F
Dear friends, I failed to buld samba 3.0.30 for tru64unix 4.0F. I am curently locked to this os version due to other production software. We currently run Samba 2.2.8a but we were requested to upgrade by our network group. I downloaded 3.3.30 and did $ cd source $ ./configure no warnings or errors as far as I could see, except checking for replacing readdir using getdirentries()...

got/expects causes mental layering violation
I was, for the first time, spec''ing a class that redefined ==. And my spec was incorrect, so == was returning false. The result was something like: class C def ==(other) false end end .. C.new.should == other... expected other, got #<C:0x7f03c454> (using ==) But wait! Why on earth is == returning the class itself instead of true/false? That shouldn''t be

Bug in the parser (?) (PR#13504)
Full_Name: John C. Deva Version: 2.8.1 OS: Fedora Linux 8, 64 bit Submission from: (NULL) (193.200.150.189) I notice that it is possible to redefine 'if' as a function of an arbitrary number of arguments. Such redefined 'if' can then be used as any other user function, except for that the parser still demands exactly three arguments to be given to if. Furthermore, even if
