Synology shares not accessible...
Hi Travis,
I know, but this is now the released version (4.15.9-0919 beta >
4.15.9-0631), see the history page for SMB-Service:
https://www.synology.com/en-us/releaseNote/SMBService?model=DS918%2B#7_x_series
With the beta version it still works. But we can't stay on the beta
forever I think.

Synology shares not accessible...
Hi Travis,
are you still there? ;-)
How are your Synos do? Do have in the mean time installed the actual
SMBService?
If you have and have with the actual SMBService the same problem as
before the Beta version there is a workaround:
In "/usr/local/packages/@appstore/SMBService/usr/lib/samba" you have to
change the "libidmap-samba4.so" to the one from the beta version,

Re: bug or somthing like it :)
Hi Julio,
I would definitely appreciate if you could send me an example of that.
Please send 1) the input file, 2) the speex-encoded file and 3) the
decoded file (that becomes unstable).

Synology shares not accessible...
The only way I have found to fix that is to enable the beta updates in
plugins and install the beta version of samba on the Synology.
Thank you,

Hi All,
the Synology support is claiming this bug is the reason for the access
problems via hostname (Kerberos):

Automounting Samba shares for Linux clients?
Is there a way to configure the latest version of Samba to automount
shares when a Linux client logs into a Samba PDC? I have searched high
and low trying to find an answer to this and the only information I have
found is using pam_mount (which I have yet to get working correctly) or
NFS. When searching for an answer, I came across comments such as "NFS

question regarding ffonts
I am completely new to Wine so excuse the stupidity of this question. I
recently installed Wine from RPM. I run Fedora core1, and began trying to
run variopus .exe files that I got from various places (mostly trial
versions of software but also quick time). What i found is that the
programs seem to run but the fonts are complete jibberish. (like weird

Printer shares will not work - 2.0.7
First allow me to issue this disclaimer... The following problem is most
likely due to my own ignorance. Now on to the problem...
I'm setting up some printer shares that allow automatic driver installation
to Win 9x clients [printer$]. When we try to use these, the drivers install
beautifully, but we get the following error message when we try to print:

Getting *types* of arguments?
Hello world,
short question: is there a possibility to get a list of
arguments of a function *with* variable/parameter types?
formals() gives me the names of the parameters, but says
nothing about the parameter type it expects (I know I can always use the
help function).
I would like somthing like
$x: vector or data.frame...
Thanks in advance...

bizarre issue with opening Quicktime files from a share
Hello,
this would be one of the freakiest problems I've ever seen: If I open an
e.g. JPEG or Quicktime Movie with the Quicktime player application from
a share, it won't work if the file is inside a folder that has a name
which is longer than 12 characters. If I open the same file with e.g.
the Internet Explorer, no problem. If I put the folder on a local disk
or another Windows computer

Synology shares not accessible...
There was a Travis Wenks here, who has/had the same problems.
I'm still hoping, he's reading the Samba mail list and tell me if he has
still the same problems and we maybe can ally for this.
Maybe the maintainers who has answered to the bug report can give some
advice, too.
The problem for me is that the developers from Synology think it can't
be their fault. It's a little

About Length of Mountpoint(mounting smb shares on linux mntpoint)
Hi,
I am writing a clone of the "smbmnt". This is to facilitate mounting of a
smb mountpoint with a FiST-Style (stackable) file system.
smbmnt.c(ver samba-2.0.7), uses fullpath() to check for the MAXPATHLEN of
the mount-point specified. Unless i've made a mistake, the MAXPATHLEN is
defined in "includes.h" which is of len 256. fullpath() checks this
mount-point name to

Bill seconds
Hi all,
We've installed Asterisk on a rural development project and we're
testing a prepaid phone service. As far as now we're having terrific
service results but there's a problem with the calls billing at our
local telecom. For instance, a farmer buys a 1 dollar phone card and use
it to dial a USA number, the call should lasts for 60 seconds. Asterisk
is doing a great job

Dear all,
I am getting an R CMD check warning about the PDF manual. I am having a
hard time finding out what is wrong, here is the log of the Rd2pdf call.
The full check (and other) log is at
https://api.travis-ci.org/jobs/46373922/log.txt?deansi=true if anybody is
interested, and the package itself is here:

Error making dahdi linux compete 2.11.0
Getting the some errors making dahdi 2.11.0.
Seems same as listed here http://forums.asterisk.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=96455
In that link they say to use 2.10.2 but that's from December. Is there a fix yet for this?
