share with no authentication
Hello, I got this problem: I want to mount a directory without providing a login/password [indicaf$]. I thought that "guest ok = yes" would be sufficient. But it not works. What option is the right one to open a share to everyone without a login box in windows ? Thanks. This is my smb.conf (samab v3.0.7): tccwebcom# more smb.conf # Samba config file created using SWAT # from

"Iomem mapping not permitted" during windows crash dump under GPLPV
I''ve recently noticed that my windows crash dumps fail at around 40-50% under GPLPV. ''xm dmesg'' shows the following: (XEN) grant_table.c:350:d0 Iomem mapping not permitted ffffffffffffffff (domain 865) At first I thought that the cause was just a bug in my grant ref code but it just occurred to me that this could be happening when Windows tries to write out the

iperf problem with Windows SMP VM
Hi I am developing Window pv network driver and hit a problem now. My server use Xen 3.1.4 and have 2 physical CPUs. When I create two VM with 1 VCPU on a same server, iperf performance is OK between those two VM, but there is performance degradation between those 2 VM when i increase VCPU from 1 to 2. This problem occurs in QEMU mode too. Does Xen 3.1.4 has such problem or anything wrong

After some research, I found another way: http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo Which will disable driver

Printing from NT to Samba 2.0.6
Hi people. I currently have problems printing from NT to a Solaris 7 SS5 running Samba 2.0.6. Whenever I try to add the Solaris printer to the NT box, it fails, telling it doesn't recognize the print processor. The printer is a HP Laserjet 5M, and the drivers have been correctly installed on the NT box. Printing works perfectly well from a win95 box through Samba. What's wrong in

Samba in heterogeneous 95/NT environment
Hello. We are considering using a samba-based architecture with Unix file/print servers instead of installing NFS clients on every PC, and I have been asked to study samba and give a presentation at some point. So far, my main problem is, we want to use it in a heterogeneous win95/NT4(sp4) environment. While samba (2.0.5) does work perfectly well with NT, we have an authentication problem
