Problems with chan-capi and Eicon Diva 4BRI
Hi!
This weekend we had a problem with our Asterisk Box which ran flawlessly
for nearly 4 weeks. The Asterisk server sits between the PSTN and a
Siemens PBX and bridges 2 BRI lines. No calls, not incoming, not
outgoing. The admin rebooted the Dell Box and then everything worked
fine again.
Now, I'm analyzing log files to find the cause. During the Asterisk
outage the logfiles only show

Advice on ISDN and Asterisk in the UK
Hello all
What I'm looking for is some plain speaking advice on ISDN.
Currently using 4 analog lines connecting via a four port TDM400P FXO card. We need to physically move our installations, and on requesting the analog lines be moved - our telco (BT) is suggesting we replace our analog lines with ISDN2. We would have 3 x ISDN2 connections, giving us six voice channels. They've

AVM C2 chan_capi-cm-0.6.3 Error on Dial
I'm getting a strange error on one of the two controllers on an AVM C2
card under chan_capi-cm-0.6.3.
I have two ISDN controllers defined, both in the same group, both
connections are UK ISDN2e Point to Point:
On the third outbound call (both of the first two calls are handled by
the second controller "ISDN2",) I get this error :

GF114 [GeForce GTX 560 Ti] (rev a1) slow and flickering display
I recently replaced a 8600 GT with the above card on openSUSE Tumbleweed
x86_64.
The screen now flickers and when I change desktops it takes a some 10 to
15 seconds to display the new windows.
e.g if I change from desktop 1 (konsole) to desktop 8 (thunderbird) it
switches but konsole is displayed for 10 to 15 seconds before
thunderbird appears.
Occasionally the screen flickers wildly before

I'm looking for an interface card for termination of Euro-ISDN2 (BRI)

That is ISDN lines from the telco into my Asterisk box.
Any recommendations, good/bad expiriences ?
At present I'm looking at cards from BeroNet and Junghanns.

Howto analyze concurrent ISDN channel usage
Hi,
Does anyone have a suggestion how I can analyze the concurrent usage of
ISDN channels? A client complains about their clients sometimes getting
a busy tone when trying to call them. I suspect they just need to add an
additional ISDN2 line but I need some conclusive information that they
are indeed maxing out their ISDN channels.
Thanks,
Patrick

ISDN2 facility code...
I am trying to send 'codes' over an isdn2 link - such as *#24# - to
activate call forwarding.
But it doesn't work. I have tried sending it as a straight dial, and
also as a DTMF string...but no luck...
I spoke to a telco tech and he said I had to send a facility
code....huh?
Anyone with any ideas on this one?

O.K. thanks a lot, Felix and Peer Oliver. But somehow asterisk keeps

ISDN2e card
Can anybody recommend an ISDN2e card that is a reasonable price.
Also, does anybody know if the AVM B1 V4 card has the echo problems, I
believe I saw somebody mention they had echo problems on the V3 card.
Thanks

Newbie help getting started
I'm running Redhat version 9 with a TDM400P and AVM B4 ISDN2 card.
I am assuming the first step to get * working is to get a tone from the
fxo ports, having looked and played with both the zapata and zaptel
files, I still can't get anything.on the ports.
When starting asterisk -vvvgc it does not appear to be loading Zapata
file.
Any guidance for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.

CAPI and Caller ID name not showing.
I have an Asterisk server connected to ISDN2 lines off a PBX (Avaya) using 4
port Eicon Diva card. All works fine, but i'd like calls from the PBX to
Asterisk to show the Caller ID name and not just the number. I know this
information is being presented by looking through the ISDN trace for the
Eicon Card. Asterisk trace show dialparties.agi: Caller ID name is '605'

forward incomming line to modem
hi All,
its probably very simple but i can't find the way to it.
i have some b410p cards and use them to connect to ISDN2, this works OK
for calling but i need to have 1 line to be send to the fax machine.
the fax machine is a modem connected on another machine with hylafax.
as far as i can figure out i need to set 1 of the slots, the one leading
to the fax, in the b410p in NT mode by

Cause 34 still there
My comment, (forwarded from Bristuff list) - A few people are seeing a
Cause 34 (congestion) from ISDN installs, where there clearly is an
available channel. This was originally related to Bristuff as it
happens to ISDN2 users, but there is at least one report of an
unpatched 1.6.x user seeing the same issue.

No IN and OUT on ISDN line at the same time?
Hi,
I like to forward an incoming call on an ISDN line to my mobile phone.
Since ISDN offers two channels, I thought that this should work, but Asterisk tells me, that there is no channel available.
There is no one else using this line, so guess I made a mistake in the configuration or it might not work for another reason.
Here's the CLI output , the capi.conf and extensions.conf. 83086921 is

Help on chan_misdn and MSN's
Quick question:
Is there a way to distinguish between calling MSN's when using chan_misdn?
More info:
I've got my ISDN2 (EuroISDN) up and running here in Romania with 1 base
number plus 5 MSN's. Now I want to my * to do different things when
receiving a call on from different MSN's (like forwarding the call to my FAX
machine or forwarding the call to my mobile).
